    I have used WD products for a few years now, replacing Seagate, which just simply stopped working, and I could not retrieve the data due to power source failure (and new power supply also failed). I have not had problems with the new unit, but I have not preformed a restore as yet. I would recommend it insofar as possible.

    I have an apple lap top and I could not get external hard drive to work. I went in to the companies website to download their drivers and it was a complete mess. I tried numerous times and I just gave up and returned the hard drive. I just want to buy a hard drive without having to go through extra steps to get it to work
