Difficult to install and sync with PC systems and LAN. Have used better products.

Quality. Worked well immediately. Enough space for everything

The device is cool. But I'm still trying to figure out how to use the hard drive feature.

I used this for my back up pictures from my phones before, that's why I buy again

Save yourself the trouble and buy a Lacey drive if you travel. It’s goid for the office...it looks pretty. But is temperamental. I just received a replacement from the company. WD needs to step up their game when it comes to customer service and turn around time for replacements

It's a low-cost USB hard drive. A commodity item. Worked upon unpackaging.

I have many external hard drives and this WD model is not a good one. Might be an odd case of a defect but it started lagging from the first plug in for a live backup session and failed shortly on high end MSI machine running Windows 8.1. This drive has powering issues and it has been previously reported. It has indexing issues, issues with identification, startup and initialization leading to fatal errors and eventual crash. USB interface and address assignments fail, can't recognize, can't format, can't properly partition. I would not recommend this drive.

It's OK and it is OK if you need it for what it is made for.

Not very tech intuitive, with no instructions evident, I installed the backup & hope I did what I needed to do to back up photos, etc. Windows decided to update while the backup was occurring, which shut down the backup. I don't believe the backup was completed.

But I only buy glyph drives when it comes to important stuff

Died after 1 year. Data inaccessible and unrecoverable. Usually use Seagate but this drive on sale and for my wife to back up files as SSD drive on laptop only 128 GB. Luckily files, pictures, etc. also backed up to my Seagate external drive and cloud. Now I have to get receipt from Best Buy before 3 year warranty at WD runs out. Then have to see if they will replace. I am not counting on WD having good customer support but will see. Seagate replaced an internal HD that was glitchy without any significant hassle and even emailed me later to see if everything was working OK.

Works great until that 1 moment, 1 small tiny bump on the desk and the whole think goes to poop! Unreadable now and will cost approx $700 to TRY and recover. Very angry.

I have a few of these and needed another for a special project. Plugged it in expecting to be ready to go but it wouldn’t function correctly on my Mac. Complicated work-around.
