I bought a brand new item but received an used one

I don't believe this item is a brand new item as described. I am very disappointed when it was scratched and it seems like it is an returned item. Beside that the WD Drive works great. I hope it will last. Very disappointed with BestBuy sent me an used item.

doesnt work on anything under windows 7, nor ps3
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.in ntfs mode worked right away on my windows 7 laptop. but i want to use this on everything. windows xp = did not work ps3 = did not work i tried partitioning it into 2 drives, both fat32, still did not work on windows xp or ps3. think i may only be able to use this on my windows 7 as just a backup drive

My files are gone

I went to go use it one day and I was unable to access my files. I have now lost all my files which is two years of work. I call the company and they send me the info for data recovery which cost almost $1000. So they sell me something faulty and I'm the one who has to pay to have the data recovered. They should be the one paying for my lost data. Now I am losing money from the lost files. I only had it a few months before it stopped working I am very unhappy with this purchase. Worst decision I ever mad when I bought this.
