Bought this long overdue external drive to back up my old laptop, and I've had no issues with it. It took a while for the first sync, but since then all the backups have been fast and easy. The sleek design is a plus!

If you have a MacBook Pro that is USB compatible, this may not work for you given the USB-C cord you are given. But since this is specifically formatted for Mac, it saves a step and is very convenient!

I used this to back up my machine so i could install a new hard drive. Worked perfectly with timemachine. I reimaged my new drive very quickly and was able to submit more job apps within an hour or so. :)

Works as advertised. Bought the external hard drive to set up as a separate bootable drive in order to setup an old work computer that was backed up through time machine. It worked absolutely flawlessly.

We've found this My Passport a very good way to back up the info/data on our aging Macs. It is something we do on a regular basis so that if there are issues we'll have them backed up.

I bought this to be my Time Machine backup. I plugged it in, tweaked a setting in Systems Preferences and it went to work on its own. It did install WD's disk utilities, which I haven't used.

This drive is just what I needed after some bad luck with an external enclosure, I have peace of mind with this drive because of Western Digital's excellent warrenty and excellent track record!

Great, small 1TB drive. Problem, on MacOS Majove, the disk reverts to not writable during the night. Have to remove the disk, unplug and replug to get it to operate properly. Not clear to me yet mwhether itmis mthe drive or the Mac software.

Enjoyed using the passport. I use it all the time now. I don’t know what I would do without it. Best investment for backup and traveling.

I purchased this external drive to use as a Time Machine back-up for a new MacBook Pro. So far, so good... it does what it’s supposed to do, as back-ups have been completed successfully.

The product comes with USB C and in combination with USB 3.0 works very fast although not as fast as an SSD. As long as speed isn't vital it give you mare space for your money.

Needed to get something with more storage since macbooks have low storage, TYPE-C cable was the only reason why it was titled for MAC.

Works great on windows or Mac. Purchased to transfer data from an older pc to a Mac mini and worked flawlessly. Now using for external hard drive and time machine. Perfect!

I have a 128GB Macbook pro. So, i needed some extra space to keep my files. This hard drive does it well. Its very fast and the time machine compatibility is awesome.
