I wanted a way to save my data files and my CDs. It took me a bit to figure out how to partition the drive the way I wanted it but once I did, it is working fine.

I had a different one and it wasn’t working so needed a new one with more memory to be a constant backup device for the families phones, photos, and videos.

I use it for time machine on my MacBook Pro, it comes with a USB C cable so it's compatible with newer laptops.

I needed to buy this to put my data recovery on and it was very nice because they could send it right along with the the hard drive that needed recovery

This purchase allowed me to save money while saving data and memory on my hard drive. The bonus is that my data could not be safer with this option.

I was able to quickly move over thousands of photos and videos from one computer to this HD. Sync was very fast and have since had no issues.

This worked great for my back up of my iMac. It was a very easy process, however I am still confused as to how to access all my documents & photos to verify that it is saying are backed up.

A great backup drive preset for Apple Macs. Though other drives work, this one is plug and play with no special setup which would be required.

The My Passport for Mac is almost as simple as plug and play. Installation took all of 45 seconds! We use it as a Time Machine unit.

Not bad, you could buy another one for cheaper that isn’t specifically for Mac and just reformat it but the convenience is what you pay for

WD makes great products for being on the go. I carry this with my laptop anywhere I go. I wish they were made a little bit more durable because I am always afraid I will break it. Otherwise it’s a great price/value for the quality!

I needed to update and saved to passport as a precaution and all was dreaded- but thankfully my passport had all my info. And all was saved!

This came in handed when my computer was getting old. Makes transferring files super easy.

The HD requires no set up at all and handles large file transfers very quickly. I moved over a Windows VM that was ~30gb in about 10 mins.

1TB was you small for all my documents so make sure you purchase 5 TB if you're looking for more space.

I love my family and friends, so I take lots of pictures. I need more space on my computer, so I need to save in a secure area. Thank you
