It's a great machine, but I received it with one of the four USB-C ports not working. Bummer.

It works but it’s not user friendly. I had to work with Mac tech support to set it up.

I didn't think it was an easy to use, intuitive, design and connection process.

Was purchased in a pinch works fine not sure it’s worth the price I paid.

Purchased the wrong thing. We didn't realize that it was for Mac.

It seems to be doing the trick, but it is just back up.

Difficult to figure out but hope it has backed up all my stuff.

Bought this for my iMac and I have constant problems when using it with Time Machine. Backups fail constantly and I haven't been able to resolve the issues yet. This replaced an old Seagate drive with which I never had any problems. I won't be buying another WD drive.

I will know when a problem raise and a back up will needed!!

I purchased this product because I needed space on my Mac. This product didn't work for me. Firs there was no instruction on how to use it so I had to go on Youtube to get instruction on installiation; than after having to wait four hours for download, got error message that I neededmore space eventhough thos product states there are 1TB of space. Product did not allowed for selection of specific items/data I wanted to save to allow space on Mac. I attempted to returned it, with the change from Best Buy card to the Bet Buy Visa card, elite status was removed without prior knowledge, so I am now stuck with a product I cannot use.

Bought because my girlfriends macbook was getting full. Not as easy as just copying files over, need to format it correctly etc. not the Passbooks fault but makes the product more advanced to use.

This was the first WD External Hard Drive I've had that had issues after a year of use as a Time Machine Backup drive. Sadly for me after a year passed, I ran DriveDx and noticed that the reallocated sector count was showing failing sectors. So...I erred on the side of caution, got a 512GB SSD for my new mac mini and use that as a daily backup. So yeah...I might not be buying WD My Passport drives in the future. Their other brands are fine though.

Below average quality and performance. Spend the extra money and buy Lacie or G Drives. Take it from a pro, these are garbage.

Bought this hoping to back up my older macbook pro. Unfortunately it can only be used with the latest version, so not really useful to me.

Found this on sale but was not impressed with its performance. Returned and bought a Glyph Dive instead.

Data won’t encrypted do not recommend. Transfers at a slow paced compare to an older model

This hard drive is okay. It works well. Sometimes is doesn't seem to sync with my Mac

Despite the assurances of the salesman that all I had to do was plug this in, that was not true. This is a very unfriendly user device. I had to keep changing my password. I still have no idea if anything got backed up or not. I won't try to attach it again. If I still had my receipt, I would take it back.

For 20 bucks more just get the 2tb. Otherwise this one works just fine.

Pain-in-the butt to setup. Probably going to fail like the last two WD - My Passport for Mac devices I purchased. No idea what I was thinking when I bought another one.
