This device was easily recognized by my Mac and the software just took a few minutes to load. The hard drive integrated smoothly with my MacBook Pro and loaded the files I wanted to back-up quickly.

This is my second passport purchase and I love them. I’ve been surprised with how much info it holds, I keep waiting for it to fill up and it’s not. Simply buying more for organization purchases. Recommend it!

We take videos of clients for social media. videos need lots of space but now I can keep them safely inside the passport until I am ready for editing. When Im done, I can upload them directly

I purchased this with my iMac and it was easy to set up, easy to use. I've never used an external hard drive before so I was nervous it would be complicated but absolutely not! Plug in and go!

The drive works as expected with the Macbook Pro. It is able to hold large amounts of backup data. Restores can be slow, but drive is very reliable, which is most useful for data recovery.

This WD saved me...my laptop had a glitch that made me wipe my laptop’s hard drive. Thank goodness I had backed up my laptop with the WD as it re-loaded EVERYTHING including programs.

This seems to be the same as my old backup which died after many years. Worked perfectly although it took me a couple of minutes to understand how to use it. It would have been 5 stars if there had been written directions or a link printed large enough so I could find it on the web.

I needed to transfer information from apple laptops and used this, it worked great and also a good storage backup incase of emergency

This hard drive has been a reliable backup for my mac. Glad it came with both a USC and USB cable so I can use it to backup files from both my macbook and my husbands older iMac.

Works well for Time Machine backup on Macs. This model is already formatted for Mac but I format again using Apple's Disk Utility.

I needed this for my son who is an audio major in college. This works great for him so he can be assured all his work is stored and readily accessible. Plenty of space on this drive.

Second one of these I purchased and works very well for additional storage on game consoles ! Easy to format and load and much more storage since every game is required to download.

This device works great. It was a good device for mass storage. Now you can get more storage from the same style of drives for comparable prices.

I have bought and given several of these external HD as a present for friends that have a Mac but don't know a thing about backing up and Time Machine. I have repaired and restored several Mac's in the past and the loss of "all my pictures and so on" was quite a bit of drama! I am surprised how few people actually back up there phones and computers nowadays, they seem to think that everything is stores in some "Apple Cloud" Don't count on it and if you like to backup, this is the right tool !

This is the only brand I use when purchasing an external hard drive. Works great every time and I’ve never had any issues.

I am very satisfied with this product. I actually purchased it for a friend and it served its purpose as well as having more than enough space left for future use.
