This portable hard drive is a gem to use. Sleek design. Out of the box ready to use! I would highly recommend this item.

I purchased this item because I had to send my Mac in to have the battery replaced. Apple was very insistent that the machine be backed up for fear my information would be loss during the battery replacement procedure. The Passport worked flawlessly with Time Machine with no effort on my part other than to plug it in. So, in that regard, the device did it's job. However, my Mac was returned to me with no missing programs or files. So, for me, this was a wasted purchase as I have no critical information stored on my machine. I suppose if I did and something happened to my stuff this would have been an outstanding purchase.

Use this drive to back up my iMac. Was easy to setup. Great little drive. Price was good. Storage is good. This is a good value.

Can’t beat the quality and the price. Compact size and big internals, doesn’t take up a lot of space. You can even put it in your pocket if you wanted to. Even if you don’t find this on sale pick it up, it’s well worth it.

Got this for Timemachine backup for iMac. I like the physical size, speed and capacity. Also has encryption option as well. I have several of these WD external drives for various purposes. The USB 3.0 is quite fast as well.

Purchased for a client. As the client has a Mac and was doing self-setup, I opted for the Mac version for ease of use. Good amount of storage, options for standard USB and USB-C connection. Intended for backup purposes.

Incredible device, Easy install, robust drive, premiere security, unmatchable drive. I had a Toshiba Canvio and that crashed in 6 weeks. No there drive compares with these in terms of fault tolerance

Works well.. good for helping move files around. I used for my Apple iPhone, to transfer photos and videos. Cheaper than ICloud

This hard drive works right out of the box for a MAC without having to download any drivers to make it work. Perfect size for time machine to backup and used to restore on a new mac as needed.

Portable and very easy to use. I backed up my entire hard drive from my MacBook Pro as I needed to transfer certain items from it to my new MacBook Air.

This was very easy to set up and use. Perfect! It is very small, about the size of a wallet but half as thick. Just plug it in and in about a minute it is ready to go. I leave it plugged in because it takes up hardly any space at all.

After installing this to my Mac, the performance of my Mac improved significantly. Removing the thousands of pictures and videos from my laptop increased the speed and output. Definitely recommend this as an external device.

Already formatted for MAC this is virtually a plug-n-play device. It is easy to leave it running for continuous backups, and it is simple to undoc when you are on the go. I am very satisfied with this device.

Great to have such a huge drive for backing up years of files, photos, videos on my iMac! Easy to use. Just plug in and activate back up. Plenty of room left. Will get another, smaller for Macbook

Slim. Works. Easy setup. Quickly recognized the computer and started formatting. make sure you format correctly as PC will not work with MAC and vice versa.

Great item fast speed easy set up cost is in range

I needed extra storage as I used my External HardDrive to back up my work Mac. I needed something that was compatible with Mac as they no longer have USB Ports, this gave me the storage I needed with the cord for a Mac. Plus it's Blue and teeny so it's cute! Will need to buy a case though to keep it more secure in my LapTop Bag.
