I was using it with my MacBook Pro that I got in 2015 for college. What I didn't know is that when you update you mac, this thing doesn't save your stuff any more. So all of the pictures and movies I saved on it, isn't assessable to me anymore due to an update. Be wary of this. I was told to call apple support to fix the issues, but it became more complicated than it was worth.
