I got this for my dad who had an older macbook with limited storage space. This helped him keep all his photos and videos handy!

My last Mac was on its last leg - I didn't want to put my college articles on a cloud, this was a great option to having a backup for my documents.

I purchased this after my computer completely crashed and I lost everything. It’s wonderful to have to save my data in more than one space! (Just in case)

I have used WD drives for a long time. It seems to me that over the past 4 years or so the only drives I have had that have failed were WD Passports. I bought this one to use for one reason and it fulfilled that and now it sits unused until perhaps next time. I've had partial photography libraries lost on two different Passport drives. This one I bought when it was on a very good sale to use to transfer one computer system to another. I don't use it for anything that I hope not to loose. I used this drive again this year for a semi permanent application and I'm crossing my fingers at the moment. WD was my go to for years. Now I use LACIE Rugged drives.

I used WD external driver all the time. Tried couple of other companies but they failed me in long run. This one is no different, although the design is strange and I would prefer more minimalistic look but that just me. Works great so far no issue whatsoever. Definitely a quality buy, and obviously it includes usb-c wire that you can use with you other WD drives.

This was bought for my daughter who is attending college and needed extra storage on her Macbook Pro. It has been well worth it.
