Geek Squad Review
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well it’s too early to write a review on the products, but as far as the 200.00 dollars to have geek squad assistants totally not worth the price “as of right now”. I bought an external hard drive to store everything on as to now have the MacBook be the only backup system for files. I noticed when I picked up my MacBook that the files were saved to the MacBook and not the external hard drive. Which I only asked them to save to the external drive and not the MacBook. When I got home to check Best Buy never even open the external hard that I was recommended to buy to save files to and not the hard drive. So that is where I’m unhappy with the service. Second complaint is assistants when setting up the printer for the new MacBook. When I first purchased the MacBook I made sure the ask about that as to avoid problems in the future. The employee told me to take a picture of the printer model and when I come to pick up the computer they’ll set it up then. When I came to to pick up the MacBook I was informed they can’t help and to call the 1 800 number for Geek Squad assistance even though I’m in the store and did what I was told to setup the printer. None the less I was hesitant when purchasing a new laptop because the technology is always being update, but went with Best Buy because I was hoping to get a good customer service, only to find they were more focused on hitting their sale numbers and not providing an honest experience. Honesty goes a long way with customer and receiving return customers.
