This is a solid choice as an external hard drive for Mac. The drive is well-protected and its durability can be felt simply by handling the hard drive. It is easy to configure, quite portable and lightweight, and offers strong security for protection of sensitive information. I would definitely recommend.

I bought this drive for use with my MacBook Pro. It has been a great drive. It is plug-n-play so no long setup. It is easy to setup auto backups or bypass that feature like I do. I use it primarily to store recordings and graphics so my internal drive stays as clean as possible. So far so good!

I needed to back-up my desk top Mac. I shopped around and found the best deal at Best Buy. We shop at Best Buy, as then have the best prices, employees are approachable, and answer any questions. The store carries a large inventory, and if .....they do not have it in stock, they will order it in.

Using on a MacBook Pro from 2011. Easy set up. Great for back ups and deleted on it's own when full. Would highly recommend!

Easy to use and able to hold a lot of pictures and documents! Definitely ideal to free up some space on my laptop and phone.

Really cannot talk enough good stuff on these drives. I liked the first so much I purchased another. I keep an entire year of photos on one disk and I take 20k plus in RAW and never fear a loss. Now with the larger format photo files I will look at a larger storage capacity... right here.

This WD 2TB external hard drive for Mac is great! I like the fact that it has the USB-C connector. No dongles or adapters required. It has adequate space, and connects easily. I've had good experiences with WD hard drives and am expecting this one will be no different.

Seriously - if you have a Mac book...GET A PASSPORT! My husband and I both have Macs but when we need to travel just take one Mac and we each have our passport - light, giant memory and honestly don't know why I didn't get it sooner! Especially for pictures!!!

My Son is the computer expert in the family and he installed this Portable Hard Drive about two months ago. I've forgotten exactly what is does but my computer was not functioning and he took me to Best Buy. Since installation, my computer works well.

I have tried different brands but only this brand works seamlessly with Apple laptops. This will be my go to hard drive from now on. The sad part was that the old one died after 5 years of use. And I lost everything because it was damaged without good reasons.

I bought this to backup my mac as well as to use as external file storage to keep large files off my computer. This drive was very easy to use. Plug and play right out of the box and the 2 terabyte disk space is plenty of room for time machine and other files.

As this was the 1st time I have attached an external hard drive. I asked apple for their expertise. It goes without saying that was a success as previously we had lost photos without having a backup. I would recommend this item to Mac users.
