I use this as a network backup drive, and it works seamlessly. Very easy to install, uses only power from a USB 3.0. Amazing, compared to my prior drive.

i was somewhat afraid of buying this slim and looking fragile tech item. my previous portable hard drive failed me several times and lost me 8gb of games and time to download them. but this one has worked fine so far except it gets hot while using it. i dont know if it would fail later but so far so good

Works Great! I use it with two computer and it works well with both. I can take it where ever I got and share photo's with friends without taking my computer with me.

best ever. data storage that's more correct than the initial file! ;-) (really, at this point all you know is that it runs and does what it is supposed to.... ) I do prefer WD drives though as over the years I've had fewer issues with them.

Good value for the money. It works with both Mac & PC - interchangeable. Easy to use BUT it came with instructions in about 10 languages yet none of them English. Just said to go to the website where I found PDF instructions which was a waste of time since they had them included in other languages.

This is easy to use--just plug it in. It connects via a USB C connector, so if your laptop doesn't have such a connection, you'll need an adapter.

Does what it's supposed to do, quickly and efficiently. Adapter included for connection purposes. I have never had a problem with Western Digital drives and this one has strengthened my faith in them.

Love this. It has a USB-C connector with an adapter if I don't have a USB-C, which I do on my laptop, and my I-Pad Pro. I since got another one with 4 TB, and it has USB-C with an adapter for USB-A. It has a lot of space for many files.

I been using WD My Passport for a number of years. They are OK. Unexpectedly one 2 years old failed, fortunately it was a copy of a Back up. Nowadays you can't trust or expect reliability in any device, quality is flaky. Even expensive High End devices are not trustworthy. Make back ups of backups.

Been using WD for years, never a problem with them and no problem with this either.

I've had several external drives, but this one is my favorite. Although it's a 2.5" drive, it is plenty fast, frequently surpassing 100 mb/sec transfer speed for large files. The included encryption is a nice bonus for protecting sensitive files. Highly recommend.

Tested, works fine. Plugged into USB port on router(Unplugged from everything when backups/images have been recorded.). The size of these things amazes me. "I was there"(ha!) when 1 gigabyte drives were as big as your elementary school desk... And they were amazing beyond belief, too!

Have WD My Passports for my other laptops in the past and have never had any issues with them. Reliable product.

Nicely packaged aluminum rather tan plastic. Lots of storage for such a small unit.
