Bought this as a Christmas gift for a friend and they loved it.

I bought this to use to backup and transfer files and paid extra for the ultra for the password protection feature. Upon trying to use it I realized in order to use this feature all computers would need the software loaded (per the employee at the store) so I returned it.

I've bought Passports for years. This one is just as good. I've never had one let me down.

Have not had a single issue with this product. Since it is not a SSD, transfer times of large files can take awhile. Not bad for the price

I was surprised to see how thin these hard drives have become. Almost half the size from the previous version. Love that it is USB-C with a USB 3.0 adapter in the box. Great purchase.

Carry essential data with this Western Digital My Passport Ultra drive. The 2TB capacity lets you store work documents, personal media and various applications, and the USB 3.0 interface ensures.

Drive is fine but the C connection is flimsy. The unit i have had to have an adapter which is a bad idea. Paid almost $80 plus tax, which makes it no great deal when I bought a 12 TB unit for $190 a week later there. Ok, but connector issued drops its value

I needed an external drive for backups, and this is perfect. I set it for daily backups, and just leave it plugged in, and set my desktop to shut it off when in sleep mode. It gives you many options.
