    I bought this blue drive to distinguish between the standard silver one. I was able to reformat it to ExFat in seconds so I could use it between PC and Mac machines. I use two portable drives to archive a large library of mp4 video files. After ordering, I had to wait longer for this blue one to ship.

    This hard drive is solid when it comes to write/read cycles for large amounts of data, however the casing doesn’t feel as sturdy as the previous models. Overall a good hard drive to keep at home.

    The new Acronis backup software does not work compared to the prior WD software, after 3 weeks I have not been able to view backed up files, still getting help from WD
