Bought this hard drive so my son could play his new games without having to delete old ones off the Xbox one. Brought it home and followed directions on Xbox and it worked like a charm. Should be awhile before we have to upgrade again.

I bought this drive at a great price on Black Friday. I got it to use with Crash Plan to have a backup I can take offsite, but still have reasonably accessible (near-line). It has worked well so far and it's plenty fast for my backups.

Love the simplicity of this unit, the amount of storage and compact size. I am on the go with our company information and need to have my backup files available. Customer sales rep was very helpful in directing this purchase. Thank you

I bought this to replace a 1TB Book. I saw from the reviews that it had 3x the space and also USB3, but with compatibility to USB2. I needed both the extra space and the compatibility, and this drive gives both for a great price. So far, the drive has worked flawlessly, with zero problems under Windows 10. I give the drive itself two thumbs up. The software is also good, but not great. I use the drive for local backup, so I was hoping the backup software would help out with backing up changed files. It does that, but unfortunately it does not mirror renames or deletes; that is, if I have changed file names or deleted files from my main computer, the backup software does not accommodate for that but instead backs up the changed files as though new and retains the deleted files on the drive. So, I have gone back to doing manual backups without the WD software, so I can mirror my files precisely.

A lot of space in a small package. I bought 2 of these to transfer movies from 4 large WD Passports (and I have tons of movies) and I still have room left. I will be purchasing one more to store my music collection. Great product.

Very nice little portable drive. I like the 3tb of storage. You can never have too much space for files. It worked right out of the box, just plug and go. I use it for video and music files on a computer connected to my TV.

I purchased this drive to store and backup my photography, including pre-processed RAW files. Nothing bad to write about, it works and data xfer speeds are decent Averaging around 80mb/s on USB 3.0.

This storage unit has great capacity and is compact. It's very easy to install.

Amazing value and performance, Speed was great compared to my other 2.0 devices. Great storage for both my PC and Mac products (I had to reformat this one for that specifically). Highly recommend this external drive!!

All the WD drives I have ever purchased have never failed me. Backing up up files is extremely important and with the WD drives it is easy and I feel they are safe and will be there when I need them.

I am a photographer and have used WD external hard drives for years to store my photo files. USB 3.0 has made a huge difference, especially in copying and backing up files. I have never had a problem with WD drives.

Have been using the Western Digital passport series for the last 5 years. Never had a problem with any drives 500G to 3TB. All of them still working. With USB 3.0 performance is longer a concern.

This portable drive does exactly what I wanted: offer a light-weight convenient and reliable way to transport and utilize files with any of my Mac systems, desktop and portable. Essentially just plug and play.

Bought this for mother-in-law as a gift to replace a 500 GB. Stores all of her photos and she can edit them as needed quickly and efficiently. Downside: IMHO, a cloud service is the way to go nowadays.

perfect size, i will be able to take this everywhere. I've only plugged this in and downloaded data- It didn't lose speed, freeze up, run hot, or glitch. I think they made a good product this time..

The WD-My Passport 3 TB External hard drive is well-built, fast, lightweight and is easy to use. I am currently using it as one of my backup storage units for nearly 1 TB of one-of-a- kind photos.

Nothing bad to say here. I've always found WD externals to be reliable and I personally love that they have kept the physical size consistent to allow the use of older crash cases with new models.

The Passport has been my go to solution for backup and portable storage for years. This 3TB unit allows me to store photos, videos, and copy TiVo programs and keep my computer hard drive clear.

Reliable storage... small package. I manage the editing of a major syndicated tv show out of Burbank Ca. We use these to ship show footage overnight from Burbank to Sacramento every two days. We rotate 4 of them plus duplicate backup drives. They get abused through this process but we''ve never had any loss of data unlike other drives we've used. I feel I can trust them... well, as much as you can trust a non ssd hard drive. They're reliable.
