Perfect for my needs. Lots of memory space. It was a little more costly than I planned to spend but meets my needs.

Great price. Easy operation. On this I can back-up the world. Should have had one long ago. Would have saved alot of panic.

Forget a flash drive, get this bad boy and backup everything!! Works great, I use it to backup iTunes, games, pictures, and videos so I have a security blanket if anything happens. I count on physical storage rather than cloud storage.

I have multiple of these drives, and I recommend them. They work as storage but as a photographer they work great as a working drive too

I purchased this drive for data storage, I have a WD 6 TB external drive that contained a little over 1 TB of video files collected over the years that I wanted to have a redundant backup of, if or when the external drive crashed, they do not last forever. I plugged the drive into what I thought was a USB 3.0 port and started the file copy process, file transfer rate was very slow, time to completion was days not hours. I aborted the transfer, plugged the drive into a different USB 3.0 port, started the transfer again, transfer speeds were much faster, it took a couple of hours, not days the second time around. Point being, if you experience slow data transfer rates, try a different USB 3 port, and make sure it is a USB 3 port. It appears that the initial port I tried was mislabeled, it was a USB 2 port, not 3 hence the days vs. hours.

By far my fav hard drive! I’ve been using Jesse for over 2 years now ans they’ve been great! I’m a photographer and use two at a time. One to work for for of and the other for back! It’s been great thus far

Awesome drive! I've been using the 2TB, micro-USB version for at least three years, and this 4TB drive is what needed to backup old data, and save more. It looks sleek, and functions as designed.

Excellent equipment. Sturdy, comes with all attachments, and big enough to hold all my music recording files and more.

I used to have to frequently delete videos and re-download others from my account on my Microsoft Surface to watch on my lunchbreaks at work. with this, I am able to access my full library in an easy, portable way! convenient and works like a charm!

I use to use the USB version however after using a higher amount of 4K video files I have found that the extra transfer speed is worth the upgrade in drive.

The speeds for this aren't too bad for a HDD, but they obviously pale in comparison to SSDs. I ended up returning mine because I didn't need as much storage as I thought, but this feels like a solid, well-built unit.

Very well made hard drive. Hopefully it lasts me.a.long time to come. As the 1st WD but not passport was total crap.

I purchased this external drive because I already had one that worked absolutely perfectly in a dull motel room on a trip to Oregon in October. Had no problems with the drive at all. Fits into small space. … I'm going to use this new one as an extra backup (if I can ever figure out how Windows 10 works its Windows 7 backup, which used to work just fine.)

I purchased this portable hard rive to backup my files for work. What I like most is that it does not need a power source which makes it perfect for a desk some distance from an outlet. It is also a great value for the amount of data it stores.

I bought this item to store photos and videos that I currently have on my Asus laptop (7 year old laptop). It works and was able to store them (about 1,000 images) and a handful of dashcam videos. I still have plenty of space. It was easy to set up and im an average tech user. Came with the usb cable and adapter for my Asus. Im planning to upgrade to a new laptop so I'll update.
