    Western Digital 4TB my Passport Ultra Blue

    I purchased My Passport Ultra Blue portable external hard drive recently and this was the best purchase I’ve made in a long time. I’ve been using flash drives to store all of my data and this one device replace all of them. Download speeds are exceptional and storage space is amazing. Would highly recommend.

    Slow transfer

    good capacity storage, I bought it for my ps4. However, transfer speeds are super slow. Took 25 minutes to transfer 100gb of games. I read that ssd is much better since it is faster. For the price I taught it will be much faster. The design looks good and looks durable.

    WD 4T my passport ultra excellent portable drive

    My passport ultra 4T from WD, this is good portable drive, i also own a 1T that is almost full that is why i bought the 4T to backup all my files from the 1T & to have additional spaces. I never had any issue with my passport ultra, they are fast when transferring data & easy to use. So far so good w/ the 4T, i specifically like the metal case frame on the 4 T, they only thing i am not a big fan is installing the WD software on my PC. It's a great portable drive based on past experience they are very reliable, i hope the 4T will be as good as the 1T & the 250G i owned for quite some time.

  • Is this the latest generation of My Passport Ultra, the one that was just released or will be? If so, I was under the impression that it would have a USB-C with USB 3.1 port. It lists a "USB-C adapter" but also "data transfer with USB 3.0"... which is it?

  • In WD website say it has a USB 3.2 GEN 1 port, and here in Bestbuy say is a USB 3.0 and 3.1?? Please you should be clear.

    I have never used the USB 3.2 Gen 1 connection but it comes with a USB 3/2 adapter. I use it with the adapter on a USB 3 port and it works well.

  • My 2t hard drive back-up is full. Will a 4t re-copy what is already on the 2t and/ or will a new 2t also re-copy the previously copied info? Thanks

    Hello, We would like to inform you that you could copy the data of 2TB from your old drive to a new drive of 2TB or 4TB . You could simply drag n drop the data from old drive to the new drive by connecting both the drives to the computer at the same time.
