Compared to other hard drives the slim ones from Seagate , even if it's a little bigger it is worth it because of the brand and of course the speed at when data is sent and received

I use this for my Time Machine backup. It works well, but nothing special about it.

Holds all my pics on current phone and previous phone with tons of room to spare! Better than a drawer full of flash drives!

Bought this for the USB C interface which makes it a faster Backup then USB 2

Not much to say - works as it should right out of the box. Software was easy to setup.

So far it is a couple of months since I am using this Product and I've used several WD before and it is good to see the design and experience improve over the years. Keep up the good work. The only reason I did not give 5 Star is due to unknowns.

Purchased this and was told that it will work on my Apple. When I went to download the software, I had to purchase an upgrade for an additional $20 in order for it to work. Wasnt happy. Purchased the upgrade and,it seems to ne working dine

I purchased this passport to hold all my pictures and music it was overwhelming for my laptop. It has all and space for more and has worked out quite well.

Writes pretty quickly but operates best as NFTS format

Love this drive. I didn’t even realize it was USB-C until I got it. I’m glad peripheral makers are finally jumping on board the USB-C bandwagon. It’s much better than the existing USB format and almost all of my devices within the past 2 years have a port. It does include a USB-C to USB-A adapter in case you need to use it on an older computer. 4TB of storage is overkill for most people, you could easily backup your computer and store much more on it at the same time. Definitely the best feature of this drive is the built-in hardware encryption. Without it, anyone could plug in your drive and view all of your personal files. Having it built into the hardware allows you to have security without the performance hit that you get with software encryption. It’s also super easy to use, just plug in the drive, install the WD Secure software, and click the option to set a password. It will even work on PCs without WD Secure installed by launching a special virtual disc that will allow you to unlock your drive. As a bonus, it includes an NTFS driver and the WD Secure software to allow your encrypted drive to work on macOS also! However, on macOS Mojave (the latest) you will need to contact the vendor of the driver to get the latest version. The one included on my drive did not support Mojave. Works great with the latest version though! Unfortunately I don’t think Linux users will be able to take advantage of the hardware encryption features but the drive should work just fine without security if you format it for a Linux based file system. What a Workhorse of a Hard Drive. More than enough space for all of my media files. Love this Hard Drive.

Bought this hard drive for a long business trip to store movies and pictures. Was easy to use on my both my PC and my Mac. Great price as well!

Used it for my ps5. So I can save the PS4 games there and open space on the ps5 storage for the ps5 games
