Western digital has always been reliable for me. I've never had one break down after all these years!

This little drive packs a lot. It's small, lightweight, metal-enclosure, all good, no issues so far.

I have a home server with over 80TB of storage capacity. Recently I lost the ability to connect to it over my home network. As it serves as network storage for all my music, movies, photos and some personal files. Having lost all network connections to the server, I have been unable to stream or access any of my stored data. Until I figure out what's going on with the server, I decided to buy this portable drive as an interim solution, and have begun to store my data on it by slowly downloading some of the accessible data on the server. I have then "shared" that data on the network so that I can access it from any device connected to the network and it has functioned perfectly! Once accessed on any device, streaming is seamless and fast. I have moved a ton of stuff to this drive and when I check "properties", very little memory is used up.

Definitely recommend...compact, easy to transport, easy to backup. protect your photos, tax documents, etc.

This drive was perfect for what i needed. I had been using usb drives and they took forever to copy. My files copied to this drive in minutes. Wish i would have gotten it sooner.

I decided to try this USB-C spinning disk hard drive primarily because I wanted the advantage of faster disk I/O and performance, and I wanted a terabyte of storage without spending a lot of money. This Western digital USB-C interface drive does just that. For my use, USB-3.0 spinning disk drives proved 30-40mbps disk speeds while this drive provides between 60 and 100mbps consistently beating the 3.0 drives I have.

This is really great device. It works really well. I use it all the time.

I LOVE Passport back-up storage! I have four of them now in different storage capacities. The recent purchase is a 5TB Ultra, and is the largest storage capacity so far. Users can effectively create folders for documents on the Passport or simply move folders along with associated files from the computer/laptop. To conserve space, it allows an individual to review the files at a later date and purge those that are no longer needed. All of these units have been much more dependable than the more fragile thumb drives. (I only use the latter for short-term use such as scanning documents and then transferring the scan to my computer.) Each Passport can be labeled with the space remaining AND a few words on the subjects stored. I've had other storage devices, but for me, using a Passport is the only way to fly!
