Rock solid purchase from Best Buy, again I was on the road and needed to make a quick purchase and BB came to my mind and when and got it!

Very user friendly. Holds a lot of data. Holds thousands of pics. I would recommend even for beginner users

Great price, nicely packaged, but it seems a bit slower on my backup of about 140 GB, it takes about 3 hours for a full backup but a typical incremental backup is about 3 minutes. I am pleased with it and I got a lot of storage it is 5 times the capacity of my other faster drive.

Does not need a AC adapter, small size and good performance. I would recommend it over the seagate.

My 1st My Passport Ultra 2TB external drive has served me well since its purchase in 2014. This is why I have recently purchased a 2nd drive with 4TB since I now require additional backup storage space. I expect it will perform just as well as my first. This is why I highly recommend Western Digital for your source of external drives.

Its not the fastest but if you want just storage for you items, it does what it meant to do.

I bought this external hard drive to extend the storage of my apps on my NVIDIA Shield. It did what I wanted it to do as my Shield only had 16 gigs on internal storage. I can't speak ok the encryption software? The NVIDIA formats the entire drive for it's use. So far I'm happy with it. Although BestBuy rarely gives you time to truly evaluate a product before they want their review.

This drive was a replacement for one I purchased about two months ago, but failed almost immediately. I have had this drive for less than a month and it has "self ejected" many times, forcing me to go through a shut down routine to have my computer recognize it again. It also causes numerous backup to fail because it cannot create a certain folder. Unfortunately, despite the extensive research I did before committing to several of these units failed to turn up the slew of problems others like me were having. My decision to buy three of these drives was a value judgment and the old adage, you get what you pay for and sometimes less, seems to apply here.

I've only owned this HD for about a month. As far as my 5 star rating goes I'd say it covers the following. 1) Easy setup if you know how to plug things in and have general computer knowledge. 2) Reliability seems great at this point just waiting to see how it ages. 3) Its kinda pretty if you care about that sort of thing. So for now I would say it's a great buy or who knows maybe even the Best Buy.
