If you have a usb c port on your computer it's pretty fast. I bought it to store my pictures and lecture videos so they don't clutter my computer. Works as advertised.

Great little portable backup drive

The fast speeds of the USB-C/Thunderbolt connection is realized, and the data transfers are over with quickly. Although it's a little pricier than I cared for, in this case the old adage of "you get what you pay for" is true.
