Great product, easy to use& lots of storage!!!!!!!!

Same as the first drive I got, so a second one was just a smart way to go for a gift.

Great device. Really sleek and easy to use on the go.

I have several WD Passports purchased over the past decade. Each is dedicated to preserving files of particular subject matter, such as Photos/Videos, Music, Important Documents, etc. This latest addition is holding the transfer of thousands of files from a Desktop that I am recycling. The transfer was simple and I still have 2/3 of the hard drive blank.

It feels like an internal hard drive when editing pictures off of it. So flippin fast! Transfer speeds are too fast for me to see before it’s compete. I converted ~200 24mp ARW files to dmg so fast I didn’t even notice it. Reading from this external and writing back onto this external simultaneously. It wasn’t even breathing heavy. Such a fantastic drive. Love it. I’ll be buying a couple more here soon.

I shoot a large amount of pictures and videos and at times max out the hard drive on my computer. not anymore! I will never max out a 5TB drive! western digital is the leader when it comes to building great hard drives at a great price. I recommend western digital hard drives.

Best external hard drive I have ever owned! Operating system is smooth and flawless. It does not disconnect while I am moving files over to it and even though it gets a little warm after heavy usage, it is nowhere near as hot as previous brands I have owned.

For a portable drive it does what it is supposed to do. Extra storage and a pretty affordable price and nice and portable. I have purchased many drives like this over the years and have never had any issue with Western Digital brand drives. Can't say the same for Seagate.

This is a lot smaller and thinner than the regular My Passport and it has a very nice finish. I am amazed by the speed of USB C connections. I highly recommend the My Passport Ultra. For only $25.00 more I'm glad I bought this HDD. And it's well worth the extra money.

Very easy to use works fast and holds lot of storage

We bought this as a back up for my wife's laptop and her blog website. It meets the needs well, much larger capacity than one it replaced with smaller footprint too. So far, so good on operation and easy of use.

Great hard dive. Really easy to set up, it’s all basically automatic. Plenty of memory. Quick load times. I’ve never had a problem with western digital. Have bought quite a few portable and stationary hard drives through the years and never been disappointed.

I have a home server with over 80TB of storage capacity. Recently I lost the ability to connect to it over my home network. As it serves as network storage for all my music, movies, photos and some personal files. Having lost all network connections to the server, I have been unable to stream or access any of my stored data. Until I figure out what's going on with the server, I decided to buy this portable drive as an interim solution, and have begun to store my data on it by slowly downloading some of the accessible data on the server. I have then "shared" that data on the network so that I can access it from any device connected to the network and it has functioned perfectly! Once accessed on any device, streaming is seamless and fast. I have moved a ton of stuff to this drive and when I check "properties", very little memory is used up.

Comes with an amazing Western Digital software that basically displays all your hard drives , great for storing movies and pictures , also if you would like to use the encryption feature it comes with it. For new users this useful , so no one can access data without your permission. It’s very simple

I LOVE Passport back-up storage! I have four of them now in different storage capacities. The recent purchase is a 5TB Ultra, and is the largest storage capacity so far. Users can effectively create folders for documents on the Passport or simply move folders along with associated files from the computer/laptop. To conserve space, it allows an individual to review the files at a later date and purge those that are no longer needed. All of these units have been much more dependable than the more fragile thumb drives. (I only use the latter for short-term use such as scanning documents and then transferring the scan to my computer.) Each Passport can be labeled with the space remaining AND a few words on the subjects stored. I've had other storage devices, but for me, using a Passport is the only way to fly!

Bought for use with Christmas gift. Works well for intended purpose.
