Geek formatted it to be “read only”

I had to buy another drive like this copy the files to a properly formatted drive. Once done I returned this one.

perfect external storage

Not exactly plug and play

After finally removing the password protection - seems to be working. Had other units such as Free Agent Go Flex - that worked correctly after initial plug in
