No way I’d ever reccomend
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So when your in a pinch, and need something. You normally go with the best option to suit your needs. THIS IS NOT THE BEST OPTION. I transferred 350GB of footage in the field and it dumped onto the drive in 45mins...(slow..) So when I got back to the office and went to transfer this to my master drive it was taking 3 DAYS to transfer off..

Stopped working in only 4 months!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Horrible hard drive, i bought two of them after reading the reviews, 4TB for mac, I used for saving pictures and videos as i have a photo studio, one of them stopped working after 4 months of purchase only! I didnt even move it from the desk and it is in the office, it just stopped working! I contacted the WD customer support, they said the hard drive software is not recognised, and the warranty only cover replacement and not data recovery. I lost my mind as i had 4 months of photoshoot data saved on it. The WD team said i should've had a backup for the backup for the backup, is this for real?!! Is this an excuse!!?? Moreover they dont do data recovery, they directed me to a third party company that will charge me from $800 up to $3000 to cover the data (and its not guaranteed they will be covered). Not only I lost thousands of Dollars from losing my files, i now have to pay a few more thousands to see if i can recover some files. STAY AWAY from WD, this product is bad!!
