Included- The hard drive, USB cable, guide, 3 years warranty, 2 months of Ultimate Xbox Game Pass The WD BLACK P10 3TB External USB 3.2 Gen 1 Portable Hard Drive is a great way to expand your Xbox One's storage for a great value. The hard drive is small and sleek. It looks like cooler than your basic external hard drive. It has a nice industrial feel to it and will fit in nicely sitting next to your Xbox. My son's Xbox One was at 97% full and with this WD P10 3TB hard drive, it allows him to add to his library without having to delete games to make room for new ones. The set up is super easy. Just connect the hard drive to the Xbox using the USB cable and follow the steps to set it up. It didn't take long at all. One word of warning, when you redeem the 2 months of the Ultimate Game Pass, it was set to automatically bill us after the window. If that's the case for you, you will have to take note to cancel that if you don't want it to automatically renew, The WD P10 3TB External USB 3.2 Gen 1 Portable Hard Drive is so worth it if you need or want to expand your Xbox storage easily or use it for anything else for that matter. I highly recommend it.

About 10 years ago, I swore I would never buy another Western Digital product after a pair of drives failed and support from the company was non-existent. It has been a decade, and if the company's products were still awful, they should be out of business. Since they are still around, I decided to chance them one more time.

When the time comes to expand your xbox one storage look no further than this option from Western Digital. Easy to hook up, usb cable comes with the hard drive and it plugs straight into the front of the Xbox. The design looks decent enough that you don't need to try and hide it. The directions that come with it show you how to format the drive in the Xbox menu setting and took me longer to access the levels within the settings menus that it did to format the drive. Great product!

Not much to say about this one - it’s a great solution for expanding the storage on your console. Setup couldn’t have been any simpler - I literally opened the box, plugged it into the console, and I was off and running. I’ve had external drives before that needed to be formatting out of the box, but that’s not the case with this model. I was able to move games that were installed directly on the console to this external drive with just a few button taps. I’ve spent some time playing Madden off of the drive, and I’d never know I was playing it off an external - no dropped frames and no lag. I also copied over Sleeping Dogs (an open world game similar to GTA), which has lots more to load and that too never skipped a beat. It might have taken a bit longer to get through the initial loading screen where I loaded by saved game, but then it was smooth sailing the rest of the way. This is a great little drive, and you’ll get your money’s worth with it.

Good sized storage for games and game data but games installed directly to drive will lag when loading with it only running up to 300 mbps compared to the stock 2.4gb speed.

I don’t like this thing. I got it thinking I could play games off it. Half the Xbox x/s games don’t work says you can’t play the game off of this device. Transfer to the Xbox it’s self

We’ve had our XBox One for a few years now and we have a lot of games. When I initially bought it, I thought that 1TB of storage was enough....wrong! Fast forward to the present, and we’re dangerously close to the 1TB limit. Enter this external 3TB hard drive, and problem solved. Very easy to use—just connect it to the XBox via the provided cable and the menu options pop up automatically on screen. I chose to transfer everything from the internal hard drive, and a few clicks later, done. Easy peasy lemon squeezy! All of our internal drive is cleaned up, and barely one-third of this external drive is used up—plenty of room for lots more games. And there’s a great bonus included: 2 free months of XBox Ultimate Game Pass! Perfect.

First my review is of 5 TB unit, the 3 TB I got went dead (Happens with any brand) after first 10 mins of copying. WD was pleasant to work with and this review is based on the replacement I received. Let me add that you can use any standard HDD for XBox use. You will plug it in the usb port and XBox will ask you to format it accordingly for game use. In fact this HDD also come formatted with NTFS and XBox will reformat it in required format. So you can check BestBuy for external USB HDDs and they all will work with your Xbox. Performance: It has top notch performance for a 5400 RPM HDD, I have attached an image which compares it with MyBook 5 TB and you can see that this is very comparable with MyBook and that thing needs external power. WD website does not mention how much cache memory it has. It comes with 3 years warranty. I also tried testing it against a 7200 RPM laptop drive(not desktop) and it bested that as well that was plugged in to an external sata doc, so I have not added that in the comparison image. Now what it offers over other HDDs is all metal housing which should help keep it cool, and XBox branding which looks pretty cool placed on an all black console table. Weather that is worth the extra bucks or not is up to you to decide.
