Posted .Viruses are always written for a specific platform. A virus written for Windows can only run on a Windows machine. Now consider that the aim of a computer virus is to spread to as many other machines as possible, much like the common cold spreads through the population when we hit winter. Attackers are obviously going to most often target the platform that the majority of people use in order to get the best return from their attack. And that platform happens to be Windows. Mac systems do still have vulnerabilities, however they are not exploited as often as Windows is. That being said, there are plenty of threats designed for the MacOS, and that's where Webroot will be valuable to you as a Mac user.

this product sucks

It came in the mail as a disc box without a disc. I used the numbers on the back to install it and when installed it said its only 180 day subscription. We called geek squad and they told us its fixed but now 6 months later its expired again! I called them i was transfered so many times . The last rep on the phone kept saying she cant hear me and hung up. Very very disappointing! $50 to waste

Doesn't work with iPad parental restrictions

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.when installing on a brand new computer there was a problem with the product key. when calling there tech support, probably in the Philippines the first thing they want to tell you is that your IP address is infected and they want 300 dollars to fix it. ..then they want to get pushy saying you need to spend the extra 300 or you could loose everything....no wonder it was given to us for nothing to go with the computer......go with Norton

Within 2 weeks, I returned for Geek squad service (per my previous contracted plan). My computer was infected with ransom ware! Purchased a new computer (rationalizing my previous PC was cursed) since my old (2 1/2 yr ) computer had multiple unresolved annoying issues. Webroot was installed on my new PC and so far 3 weeks out has been fine. Ask me again in 6 months.
