Went on line, Geek Squad installed by remote control of my computer. Afterward, program locked control of my computer. Disabled program and installed Avast. Webroot has a lot to be desired. I desire my money back, but spent over 30 days messing with the program.

However, there is a lot of software available for free that will do a great job, & you won't have to keep paying each month after your trial period is up. Also, the sales person indicated that it doesn't really do much on a Mac, which is what we bought.

I was told I didn't lose anything, because I did not pay for the free gift offered on my receipt and Best Buy online ad. Very unfair, could not use.

Posted .These Best Buy subscriptions activate on the date of purchase. They are valid for 6 months from that date, so it sounds like you may have tried activating the Security a few months after you initially received it.
