I use Windows Defender

I've never once used it. I'm sure it's excellent, but it's also a paid antivirus, antimalware after the initial trial period is up. Defender is free, and I've found it to be all I need to protect my laptop. I know McAfee makes the computer much slower, as I would imagine every paid antivirus software does to make you feel like it's actually doing something. I'm sure this one is no different. My recommendation is just stick with the free windows defender and check for updates daily and run a quick scan daily. Like a digital vitamin.

Geek Squad recommended this and so far I've been very happy with the results. I haven't been bothered with updates like I was with the other 2; during updates I couldn't do anything. I know it's working because I did receive an alert, and my laptop is running a lot faster.
