Good free basic protection - not as many features as norton though

You need to have security on any pc connected to the internet. This is a good start for free eith pc.

I have always used norton or mcafee. this securityseems to work just as good for half the price

Long gone are the days of cumbersome bloated antivirus solutions that bog your system down and degrade your performance. There are still some that are like that, but this is NOT one of them. As a matter of fact, you can't even tell this software is on your system until it's doing it's job of keeping you away from dangerous websites and free from viruses, malware, keyloggers, and other online vermin. I actually purchased a year of Webroot prior to receiving a free 6 months with the purchase of my laptop. The user interface is well laid out and simple. It's mostly just set it and forget it. And did I mention lightweight? This is the only antivirus I've used in the last 10 years that didn't add any discernible amount of time to bootup. It runs silently and quietly in the background and stays out of your way completely until it's time to notify you of a problem, and you can even set it up to automate the whole process of virus removal if you want to remove yourself from the decision making process entirely. I'm a power use so I prefer to know what's going on on my system at all times, so if you don't need Webroot to hold your hand and you're comfortable making security decisions for yourself, you can do that too. This is the best antivirus I've ever used hands down. It hasn't failed me yet and I feel secure in thinking that it won't in the future. There are a lot of options I didn't cover here in this review. I highly recommend this, especially if you're using an older computer as this software is extremely lightweight and doesn't need a lot of system resources to do it's job.

As far as Antivirus or Internet Security goes, I usually go for Webroot when it comes to a laptop. It's pretty good but most of all, it's very light to your processor.

A good feature is the pop up status screen that fades away, lists the areas actively being monitored.

I entered the store needing virus protection for my computers. Already had a product in mind when the store representative showed me this product that actually saved me some money. I would highly recommend this product and want to thank my sales representative. Only wished I had got his name.

It installed easily and has worked so far. I don't see any issues which I guess is a good thing.

Decent virus protection as can be expected, of course you can never completely protect any computer.

I purchased Webroot on the advise of the Best Buy sales associate. He indicated it was a recommend by the GeekSquad so made my decision based on that. It was easy to install and have not had any issues. I have Kaspersky and Norton on my other laptops and believe I will put Webroot on them as well.

Had no problems with installing, and works just fine and at a good price.

Awesome product but I don't know how useful it is on a Mac as it may hog resources unnecessarily. However, for a PC I would say its a go-to product for good protection.

I have used this product for years. I will continue as long as I continue to get the outstanding results. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Keeps my devices protected!

I've been using webroot for years now. Since I started using it I have not changed to another product. I've had a great experience with it. It's fast and user friendly.

It is patently obvious that today, everyone must be very conscious of protecting themselves from all the perils of the internet. It would be foolhardy to do otherwise.

This was free with the purchase of the laptop. Seems to be doing what it is supposed to do so far.

This protection came with the computer so I was able to get a free trial of the service. So far, so good and I will more than likely purchase it when my trial is over.
