Posted .You are correct that Apple handles the security of their mobile devices through their firmware updates, but please keep in mind you can still install our Webroot SecureWeb Browser for free from the App Store.
Also, It is typically advisable to completely discard software you don't plan on using, as a product should be reviewed for its' efficacy with a well-rounded point of view.
