Functional smart plug

I chose this to replace a timer for the lamp in my living room. It had excellent reviews on the Best Buy website. It was easy to set up. I downloaded the Wemo app on my phone and set it to turn on every evening at 5:15 pm and go off at 11:15 pm. I will change those times as the days get longer. If I want light in the morning I say " Hey Google, turn on the light plug" and it turns on the light. If I replace the smart plug with a smart bulb, I will place the Wemo somewhere else to turn something else on and off.

The cheapest way to Wemo--and use an Amazon Echo!

We use several of these on lights in the house. We control them with Amazon Echo Dots (4 of them throughout the house) because the Echo Dots are always connected to the Smart Plugs (unlike our iphone Xs which must reconnect everytime you open the app--which takes about 5 secs). This way we have all the flexibility the Wemo's provide, without having to walk into a dark room and wait for the app on our phone to connect. We love the Wemos now that we are controlling them with Echo Dots!

So far I think this smart plug is awesome. Extremely easy to set up. I can now turn the air conditioner on from anywhere with my phone. I also plan on using it for the winter to warm up my apartment before I get home. I highly recommend this product and plan on purchasing three more for other uses. I also read that the company has troubleshooting technicians. Although I had no problems, I think this was a great way to back up the product.
