Otherwise they will not connect. We had Google Wifi until we changed plans with Comcast. Now we are using their Router/modem combo that has both 2.4 and 5 ghz but for some reason these plugs will not connect along with some 2.4 ghz lights with this new router/modem.

I can schedule my lights to come on and off. I can turn lights off from the comfort of my bed! It was easy to connect to my wi-fi as well. I think the app is a little confusing to use, but you can google directions which are very helpful. My only complaint is I wish it was a little smaller. Other than that, it's great!

Works Pretty Good

Instead of replacing 6 them with smart bulbs I just bought 1 Wemo mini smart plug. For the most part it works well with Alexa. But every now and then she doesn't like it and I end up unplugging and re-plugging the plug or removing and re-adding it to the Amazon Echo app. Small price to pay for the convenience.

Works like a charm with google home when configured correctly. Using it for controlling out of reach socket for living room lights. My only compliant is that it is slightly difficult to configure 2nd time when you change your wifi router of wifi configurations.

My issue is with the Wemo app, as it does not always detect these plugs, while detecting the older devices. I know the devices are connected, as they work with Amazon Alexa, while NOT being detected in the Wemo app!

Wemo wifi plug
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The wemo wifi plug works just for the price of 30 bucks, it was hard to connected to my wifi, o had to go utube and it connected in minutes. A couple times of week my alexa will try to find it and and devices isn't found . I like it but can't help to think if I got the more expensive plug that it would work way better

Some routers may take multiple attempts to establish a connection with your Wemo device. If this happens, we can try changing the router’s wireless channel to avoid interference. As for your Amazon Echo, let's first ensure that the Wemo device is properly functioning on your Wemo app so that Alexa can work seamlessly with it.
