This device allows you to automate the on/off of any device you plug into it. You can utilize an app on your phone to schedule when the device goes on and off and/or turn your device on remotely. You can also sync the plug automation with your Alexa device to incorporate voice command to control the on/off of the device.

Bought 2 of these plugs to go along with my google home mini's and google enabled insignia speakers. they are easy to set up and work great. the wife likes them very much. easy to turn on living room light before she gets out of bed. she uses the other one to turn on some fiber optic figurines she has. very convenient to use.

It saves space and is more slick compared to the last model.

I owned this plugs for years ... bought another one as I need it for a new item in the house. This is great for xmas lights fixtures, reptile terrariums for lights or humidifiers, wine conditioners etc etc. Easy to use and besides bright a little bulky still a great item to have.

Plug works great once you ensure that it is not broadcasting its identity to the neighborhood. Also, the re-setting configuration is not completely clear and may have to be repeated to ensure it is successfully reset. Lastly, timers are not user friendly and that is why I am giving it 4 stars.

Bought this to control a lamp and have it turn on at dusk. Very frustrating to set up. Endless loop of not connecting and or recognizing wifi. Gave up after an hour. Read tips and help from forums online and tried again the next day. No rhyme or reason, finally connected. Have not had any issues with it since.

It may have just been me, but I had some difficulty getting it setup on my WiFi. But after I did, it worked great.

I bought 3 of these. One I have been using on a routine to turn on a heater 30 mins before I get home. One I have Alexa managing for a light. I just say, "Alexa turn on the light." You can turn on or off these from anywhere via an app on your phone. That makes it convenient if I forget and leave the light on.

Works well as advertised. Integrates with Google Assistant.

I have a couple WeMo smart plugs and they are both used with automation software to help around the house. This one in particular is situated on an outlet that is behind some furniture and part of the year behind our christmas tree. Makes it super easy to turn the lights on and off and make sure they are off when away from home.

This plug is much improved from older design. It is slim and allows you to plug something else or another wemo into a normal 2 plug outlet. ( the old design was so bulky you could only use the one wemo and nothing else). It’s WiFi connection is also more reliable and easier to set up and control from Alexa etc.

I love the WEMO plugs, there are so many uses for them. This product sets up very easily and does not need a hub or to be plugged into a router. Just download the ap on your phone and within minutes you are set up. I have a Echo Dot, so I just tell Alexa when I want a light or the bedroom fan on or off. Great gift for mom!

I bought 2 of these plugs and both were not working as expected. I'd like to say that I am very tech savvy and use other smart home devices as well, so, this issue I am explaining in the following is not due to an end user error. Setup was straight forward, however, the app seems to have an issue as well. It reported correctly a firmware update and I started the process, however, it did never finish. After 1 hour I reset the plug and started all over. Eventually the app reported then that my firmware was up-to-date. So, the plug reset did not go back to factory status? I don't know. The plug showed up in the app and I could schedule it, all ok so far. But once I removed it from the wall outlet to plug it into its intended wall outlet, it had lost its router / internet connection. It required me to go thru the router set-up again. That feature could be reproduced any time. Apparently it doesn't store the connection after removing it from external power?I installed the second plug and with that one the app was not able to initiate the firmware update. It reported the update but it did nothing when I tried to start the upgrade. De-installing the app and re-installing did not help. Reset of the plug didn't do a thing. To me it seems that WEMO smart plugs / app are just not ready and there are bugs to be ironed out. The second smart plug never got the firmware update but I could setup the device. However, after 5 minutes it would get disconnected from my router and was blinking orange, meaning it required a new setup. Conclusion: plug #1 (with the firware upgrade) worked fine as long as I did not remove it from the wall outlet. Plug#2 had issues getting the firmware update and without it it apprently never worked at all. I have a fully updated Netgear router that never has any problems with lots of other smart home devices from other brands. I would say that WEMO needs some more time to get its stuff ready.

These devices are great for controlling appliances or lights in your home. I got this one for the Christmas tree. I have many Wemo light switches and plugs in my home. You don't have to hub either. These devices work on their own using an app on your phone or your home automation device such as Alexa or Google.

I bought this for a home theater room. It serves to turn on the LED backlight for my projector. I have it synced to Alexa commands also so it turns on every time I tell Alexa to turn in my A/V system. It’s a great product and has worked flawlessly. I would highly recommend it.
