Setup is terrible and impossible

After 3 hours, I’ve only been able to get one to connect properly. I’ve gone through all the trouble shooting guides online, through their site/app and random customers “guides” around the Internet with zero luck. No part of the setup is consistent. Sometimes the app will tell you to go to your WiFi settings and connect, other times it will ask you to scan the QR code, none of it works. The one that has setup is already having issues on the same day of purchase. Using HomeKit/Alexa to control it is extremely hit or miss. I unfortunately will be returning all of these as the thought of having to deal with this again if I want to change things up, terrifies me.

If you have the 1st Generation of Wemo F7C063 and you're using an iOS device upon setting up, then you may need to grant the location access permission and make sure to use the updated version of the Wemo App. We could have our Escalation Engineers assist you further with this.
