Some are set for timers and others we turn off and on with Alexa. The devices are great but the app can be cranky at times, usually after an update. When that happens, we use the Alexa app to work them until it sorts itself out.

Easy Automation

The item works as described. I set it to go on 15 minutes prior to sundown and off at midnight. No need to change anything as the sun sets at different times as it adjusts automatically. The app can be a little slow but it works.

One of the cheaper HomeKit smart plugs

I have a few of these throughout the house connected to lamps and it’s very easy to schedule automations with them.

But when I try to turn it off with a timer, it fails sometimes, not sure the reason, maybe because the app and apple home app conflict.
