I use this to control my cable/sling box when I am out of town. Whenever I need the infamous "reboot" to fix an issue, I have the ability to perform this fix wherever I am at. I just plug my surge protector into the Wemo and turn it off with the app.

I found so many uses for my smart plug. It's reliable and versatile. I now understand why so many folk are switching to Smart appliances, etc. Plugs such as these enable my older (non-smart) house to be "smart"!

This plug definitely helps me to incorporate other electronics into my smart home hub, such as ones that do not connect themselves. I am able to control my portable heat and air conditioner with my WeMo remote. Very helpful.

Works with Homekit with out dealing with their Cloud account. However, only four stars because you can not receive firmware updates with out creating a a cloud account.

Well I purchased this to allow me to control the lights on my Christmas tree during the evenings/nights. Since I have purchased 2 for each of the bathrooms in my place and a couple for my kitchen. This things are invaluable.

I enjoy the wemo plugs. I think the only downside for me on this type is that it's too big and takes up a lot of outlet space. I'd recommend the smaller size plugs.

The unit fits perfectly where I needed it. I would have scored it higher, but on one occasion thus far, it has stopped working, and I had to fiddle with it to start working again.

Love this plug in switch. It has been a great addition to making our house "smarter" and more user friendly. I like it for my TV. I can tell Alexa to turn the TV off and on especially in the middle of the night when I can't seem to find my remote.

Works great. Have it in two of our properties. Only downside is WEMO app won't handle two or more homes so I use a backup phone on wifi for the second application. Hopefully they will fix this shortfall soon.

This plug comes in handy in the summer, I have it connected to my portable ac and I turn it on when I’m on my way home so that the house is nice and cool. It’s easy to set up and such an amazing tool, will be getting more.

Great for controlling the Christmas lights. Outside the holiday season we use it to control a living room lamp on a random schedule, which is handy when we are away traveling

This is a very robust plug and I love that it doesn’t need a hub to connect, it connects easily with WiFi through the app, and then seamlessly connects to the smart home app of your choice.

Very responsive over wifi sometimes I turn on the smart plugs in the middle of an update and they won’t turn on which can be annoying but overall decent smart home tech

This product used to be unstable. It will not reconnect after a WiFi router reboot. Recent firmware update fixed this issue. I use the Wemo to schedule, when my basement dehumidifier turn on and off.

Love this plug and especially how it seamlessly works with Alexa! Now I just ask Alexa to turn on the lamp when I'm walking in with my hands full of groceries. Set up is easy too, and the ability to set a program for the lamp are added benefits.

This was my first experience with a smart plug. I like it so much I have purchased more and will continue to use this plug for future needs. The timer function works perfect and I use Alexa to turn on or off any time I want.

So this device is where you start with a smart home. It works well, doesn't overlap onto the next socket. There only downside is that it isn't the model that gives you info on the amount of electricity used on the phone app.

I have this setup to turn on and off my Christmas tree through my Google home. Now I can just walk into the room and say hey Google turn on the Christmas tree and it works every time. Even works through my app on my phone.

Specifically was looking for something that works reliably with HomeKit and was cost affective. These worked out perfectly. You need to update the firmware out of the box to get HomeKit support but after that you're good.

Initial setup can be a bit tricky using the Wemo app, but once you have added the plug to your home wi-fi and performed the required firmware update, you can then add it to HomeKit and control it exclusively there.
