You can turn on and off with your phone. But when you try to set timers it does not turn on through the app.

The design of the device keeps it from blocking both outlets but makes for a cramped power strip.

I'm not into Smart Home devices. I am to involved and aware of security to trust them. However, I wanted a simple smart plug that I could use to help me monitor whether I had power at home while I was away (Hurricane Irma coming through my area). While I was able to set it up without too much trouble, and it seemed like it would work well. Then I got a prompt for a firmware update. Again, I am desperately aware of security (or lack thereof) in smart home devices, so if there's an update, I want to take it. Unfortunately, taking this firmware update was a mistake, as it bricked the device. The update seemed to run for over an hour according to the app. When the app finally no longer indicated that the update was being applied, I checked the status, and it was blinking amber, meaning it could not connected to wifi. I tried unplugging and replugging several times, and finally factory reset it, several times. Even rebooted my phone and reinstalled the app. This device will no longer connect to my wifi, and I have more than one SSID that it can connect to. Guess it won't help me for this storm. Will be returning.

It has a button so you can turn it on right there in a pinch, I can set it up with my phone from amywhere.

Besides the connectivity with WEMO app on my iOS device, it also provides connectivity through Google home and Alexa

These outlets are great. They work with all smart home services (Google, Alexa, and even Apple Home Kit).

I have spent many hours trying to connect this to my new ASUS router with no success. I read many suggestions in the community forum, and none worked. I exchanged it for another one, but that didn't work. I called support, but they couldn't help. Belkin sent me a new one, and I couldn't get that working either. I'm very technical and have set up many devices. This is extremely frustrating!

Great for lights and turning off items on a surge protector. This will not turn on your smart TV (if you're thinking that)

This is my first smart plug and it gets the job done. Just wish that it could connect to 5ghz WiFi networks

We used this to plug our Christmas tree in and have it on a timer. We have other smart plugs and we really like them.

I bought this on sale. Love getting a great sale price on a smart device. Works as advertised. Stops phantom power.

Finicky. After a few months, ive found myself having to reset all of my plugs, reconnect, download firmware, etc...I get by introducing smart tech into my everyday life im inviting more electronic gremlins into my home...butr the reality is we barely use them anymore because they are unreliable.

I would recommend purchasing this object. It has made my transition into a smart home flawless

Got these because they integrate with Apple Homekit. They do, and therefore they met my expectations.

Solid brand with a solid app. wanted to buy something with a name brand rather than the chinese ones you see online...cheaper.
