Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love it! I have spent $$$$$$$$$$$ on TOP rated TVs and they do the same! This was a spur of the moment, "on sale" purchase and I could not be more Pleased with! Very easy to set up, Great picture, easy to accesses other features. I am +45 and have cable/tivo so I do most functions much from cable box. My only complaint is sound, and that could be cabinet that I have it in is making it sound off. I could hook-up Soundbar. I have plenty of Cash left over!

Bottom line CHEAP
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do yourself a favor and take the money you were going to use to buy this TV and SAVE IT! Put it aside and wait until you can buy a better 4K TV. My experience with this TV was unpleasant to say the least. I picked the TV up on August 25th(Online order shipped to store). The TV died after 24 days. Sound but no picture. Just out of of the blue. Tried to take it back to Best buy but no go as the return policy is only 15days, so shame on me I guess for not buying the protection plan. So at this point I must rely on Westinghouse warranty replacement. Now I must say the actual customers service reps within Westinghouse are not to bad they are your typical call center agents just trying to process the claim. I went through just one troubleshooting step with them over the phone, unplug the TV and hold the power button for 60 secs. Plug it back in, still no picture only sound. Nothing more to trouble shoot I was asked to take a few photos of the TV, front, back, and a close up of the model/Serial number and proof of purchase. I sent that to them right away. A day goes by and I did not hear from them. So I call with my claim# and the CSR looks it over and says ok we approved your claim you'll receive instructions on how to return the TV to us. Thats where I start to get a bit disappointed, as now I'm responsible for the COST to ship this TV to them. I'm in Florida, the TV has to go to Chino, California. Pricing that will get you frustrated trust me! I found a decent price with Fedex ground but now I'm out $45 bucks to ship this back again it would of been cheaper just to buy the Best Buy protection plan at this point. So it takes me about a week to get this thing ready to ship out after reviewing all my options for shipping etc. So the TV arrives in CA on October 6th. The next day I get an email stating they have the TV and are starting to work on it. So at this point I'm going about my business and I get a call from a CA area code on October 12th. This is the customer service from Westinghouse telling me there is an issue with the repair of the TV. I'm being told that they can't fix my TV because they don't have the "part" in stock. I'm blown away at this point, you guys are the repair center but you don't have the parts to fix the TV, really?? So I'm presented with two options, refund which the CSR expressed very strong, "Our refunds department is very backlogged so you might not see the refund for 8 weeks or longer AND we DO NOT refund sales tax. The 2nd option was a replacement TV but different model, this was the 43" TV(42.5) The replacement TV was smaller but still 4K 42"(41.5) That was the ONLY difference in specs everything else was identical. I've already spent money to send this to them I'm not waiting over 2 months for a so called refund as its not even the full amount of what I spent period. So they ship me the replacement TV(refurbished by the way) I just got it to my house yesterday October 19th. So there you have it folks that is my experience, yes I'm happy that I got some kind of TV back. It's not the one I bought and over all this is a CHEAP TV. As I stated in my first sentence of this review SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS TV!

Terrible warranty through Westinghouse.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After having this for a few weeks, the remote sensor on the television was defective. Westinghouse requires their customers to pay the shipping fee when having to return the television. I paid $200 dollars out of pocket to ship it back. Westinghouse only replaces their defective TVs with refurbished ones. I requested a refund. Even with a refund, I'm still out $200 bucks. Very poor warranty. Stay away from Westinghouse unless you purchase an extra warranty through the store. That way, you can simply return it to the store when something is defective.

Buyer Beware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV about 5 months ago. When it first arrived it had a beautiful picture.I loved it. Then 2 weeks later the picture started scrabbling.I called Westinghouse warranty dept and after sending many pictures of the problem and talking to a bunch of techs, my TV stopped working. It just has a scrabbled picture. Their warranty is absolutely worthless and now I have this TV just sitting on a cabinet unable to watch it. I just want everyone to know, that warranty with this company is terrible. They did not fix my tv and i can't return it. I really HAD a lot of confidence in Westinghouse products, but I don't anymore. Please be cautious when purchasing this product or any other.

Can’t Stream 4K content
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the 43 inch 4K smart tv by Westinghouse because of the 4K capabilities and cheap price and I regret it now because of the most important factor in streaming 4K content is missing from my TV. By law streaming devices are only capable of connecting to a secured HDMI port called HDCP 2.2. The tv doesn’t have this port. So all of the stuff I’m trying to stream is in regular format (1080p) and looks horrible. I paid for 4K and I can’t enjoy the benefits of 4K. I’m very upset. The only known streaming app this tv includes that I’m subscribed to is Netflix. No hulu, no local tv apps. I hate this TV and I’m returning it. I give this TV 1 stars because i don’t watch regular cable. I stream everything. If you only use the apps on the tv and you watch cable tv this is a great tv for that.

Westinghouse is terrible to deal with
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We received the Westinghouse TV as a gift from a family member. It was purchased on sale two months prior to us receiving it. It was defective when we opened it but we really wanted the same TV since it was a gift. We didn't want them to think we didn't like their gift and returned it. The store did not have anymore in stock so I emailed Westinghouse. I had to send pictures three times to prove the TV was defective and that I was telling the truth and wasn't trying to pull something. By this time my time limit to return the TV to the store for a store credit had expired so I was now stuck with a defective TV and dealing directly with Westinghouse. First they told me to ship it to them in California and they would send me a replacement TV. That would have cost well over $200 dollars from Pittsburgh so I told them I was not sending it back. Then they told me to take it to a recycling center and send them proof that I had done so and they would then send me a replacement TV. It cost me $35 to recycle the TV. I sent them the proof that I recycled the TV but then they decided to send me a refund rather than a new TV. This whole process took well over 4 months. I should have just returned the TV right away and got a store credit towards a different brand. What a nightmare that was dealing with Westinghouse. Do yourself a favor and purchase a different brand.

Not recommended
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered the TV on line when I got it and was able to plug it in it would not work very disappointed. You have only 15 days to return it back to a Best Buy from the day you order it. I unfortunately had a death in my family and couldn't get back before the 15 day grace period. I was connected with Westinghouse by Best Buy the manufacturer and I was told they would email me a shipping label so I can PAY to ship it to them so they can fix my brand new TV. I never received the email from Westinghouse and it's been 7 weeks and I have heard nothing. Westinghouse has not honored their warranty. I hope this review is posted I wouldn't want anyone to have to experience that I am having with Westinghouse. BAD BUY!

Bad TV, worst Warranty
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worst TV purchase ever made. Stopped working in less than 6 months. Extremely Poor build quality. For warranty use TV needs to be shipped back to them ar OWN COST. Given how heavy a TV is the shipping coat can run more than the cost of the TV itself. Worst warranty practices ever. DO NOT BUY Westinghouse products.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.after awhile it does not turn off properly, you need to unplug it, the netflix and youtube get stuck when you switch from one application to the other, the hdmi fails you constantly need to replug in the cables, warranty is bad you have to mail at your cost to california for them to replace with same tv.
