the tv stand i purchased is by far the best of the best

Great quality piece. Assembled. Wood construction.

Even with the warpping it does not detract from appearance.

i wasn't happy with this order, at first they broke it the moment they removed it from the truck and when i checked they said there wasn't any more in stock, but a week later i got a call saying they have another available when i really didn't need it any longer.

Door fit cannot be corrected to fit the opening. Either the door opening is not square or the doors are not square and cannot be adjusted to avoid scraping door against opening.

Preassembled. Set 60" smart TV on it and the cabinet top has a slight bow. It needs to have additional support in the middle.

The top isn't very flat it sags in the middle and it take a while not to smell like wood stain.

The bottom rail of component cases bowed 1/4+" within days of setting the tv on top of the cabinet. TV was 1/2 the allowable weight. Even worse was trying to get the console returned. Hours on hold, talking with California and Missouri "customer service" for MN return, call dropped and not returned during process, 2 missed pick up dates and the third pick up was 2 1/2 hours off the scheduled pick up (scheduled twice by automated voice calls the day and night before by the Geek Squad.)

I wouldn't recommend center bows in and small drawer space .

I just bought this piece to hold my 58" plasma, AV Receiver, DVR, Panamax power conditioner and Blu-Ray. For the price it was much better quality than expected. I only viewed one in the store and it looked like it have been on the showroom floor for a good 12 months. It had no hardware on it and did not have the cable management holders installed. That being said I would give is 6 stars if possible. First of all, to qualify my expertise, I am not a furniture maker by profession but have made many projects (Bedroom furniture, bathroom vanities and kitchen cabinets) from Oak, Poplar and Cherry woods. The overall quality and craftsmanship of the piece is very good and I could not make it when considering the finish, hardware (pulls, slides and auto hinges), wood types and thickness for its price. Another great plus is that its 99% assembled. All you have to do is install the pulls (handles) and your done. Quite honestly it took longer to un-box it and wipe it down from the styrofoam cling on's than it did to install the hardware. The cable management was not for me because all my cables for my equipment are 13 AWG which is very thick wire and cannot be wound. These cable holders are more for your standard power cables that come with equipment. An honorable mention for ingenuity is the magnetic removable back panels for running your cables. It is remarkably easy to switch positions of equipment with the back panels by just popping them off and on. It was a life saver when putting all my components in because with out fail I had to move most if not all of the components around from their original placement. If you decide this piece of furniture (yes I called it furniture), belongs in your home I know you will be happy with your purchase and will hold all your equipment and look great as well. Just a note to why I gave it a "good" rating for durability is because I believe it will be very durable but with just purchasing it today I really could not see giving it an excellent rating yet.

I was extremely pleased to find this beautiful tv stand in a great dark cherry finish, but very displeased when it arrived and I opened up the left side cabinet door to find the shelf was crooked by half an inch. This unit comes completely assembled, except for the hardware (handles, and cable management cogs). There seems to be quite a few of these with this manufacturing defect because the replacement I ordered had the same defect. The holes for the shelf pins on the left side were drilled a half inch off. No, I'm not crazy! It's very noticeable. As soon as I opened the cabinet door, I noticed the shelf was crooked. This unit has adjustable shelving and the factory has screwed the shelf down to the shelf pins, so the shelf won''t move during transit. I removed the screws to take out the shelf and inspect. After measuring against the opposite side and the right side cabinet shelf, I came to the conclusion that both rows of holes were drilled incorrectly on the panel. Whalen's customer service can't do a thing for you, as they can only issue replacement parts, and this is not a replaceable part. The holes are drilled right into the side panel. My suggestion is if this model is still available when reading this review, and you do end up purchasing it, make sure the delivery guys are there with you when you open it and refuse shipment if you find that it has this defect. The problem with that is, the replacement unit might have the same problem, which is what happened to me. Your other alternative is to just drill your own holes to correctly level the shelf, which is what I'm now going to do with the original unit I ordered. Best Buy customer service suggested I order a different product, but since this product was exactly what I was looking for, they offered a gift card as compensation. Don't let them low ball you on this! They will tell you that they are limited to how much they can issue, but like I did, took into consideration time I had to take off just to receive the delivery and all.

Just had this stand delivered yesterday. Very surprised of how well made it is for the price (paid $499 in store). Very easy to assemble and my components fit just right in storage areas (have large Denon reciever, cable box, and PS3). Only difficult part was removing all the packaging from the box, but this I'd rather have it well packaged than damaged. Also the magnetic removable back panels are a plus when putting in oversized components.

This great TV stand arrived 3 days after I ordered it. Unbelivably quick. It was packed extremely well and arrived with no damage at all. This piece is heavy, beautivully finished and should last many years. I am very glad I chose this one and am completely satisfied.

We took it back. Pre-made holes and studs didn't match up and turned in to several days of fixing it. Broke 3 inserts trying to get them to lock in to place.

I bought being told minor damage. Brought home and found damage everywhere.

I bought this product about a year ago and I use it in my office as an office credenza. I was surprised and elated to find that it comes completely assembled and ready to use out the box. It is very well constructed and it is a solid piece of furniture with great finishes. I have been very happy with the flexible use and the unit's storage capability.

I like that a product like this arrives pretty much assembled. Only thing you really need to do is put the handles and cable wheels on, that's it. It came packed extremely well. Product is very solid feeling and I love the small details like the magnetic back doors, vented shelves and floor levelers(most TV stands don't have these).

My husband and I wanted a nice modern looking piece that could hold all of our entertainment equipment in a classy way AND be able to be "baby-proofed" against our 1 1/2 yr old son. This piece fits all of our needs: The glass doors allow us to connect remote to device without actually opening them (and we put baby latches on the inside), the back panels are magnetically connected and removable for organizing/ hiding the cords, and the drawers were perfect for putting remotes and 3d glasses. It's so sturdy it'll last for years! A great buy, definitely worth the price. :)

When we recently purchased a new LED flat screen TV, we needed a console to fit into the space (we were getting rid of a bulky rear projection TV that sat on the floor). Either the consoles were incredibly expensive, or they just looked awful. So I was pleasantly surprised to find this one - it's modern looking, but has a richness in the wood grain. Yes, I know it isn't all hard wood, but it is an attractive addition to the room and fits into the decor that we currently have. And we have already found the spaces underneath useful to put our components and Blu-Rays/DVDs. All in all, it's a beautiful addition to the room and does it job by supporting our new flat screen TV, too. The only concern I have is what to do with scratches, but we were provided with some touch-up paint if we need it. Again, Best Buy and the Geek Guys (who set it up with the TV) came through.
