The low profile over the range microwave is perfect for the limited space. I was surprised that a regular size bag of popcorn fits in the space.

I have used this 4 months now. I want to give it 4.5 stars, but I have been able to work around its smaller capacity. And the benefits of meeting our city’s building code to have enough clearance between the microwave & the oven far outweigh the fact that I can’t stand up my 90 second rice packages (see photos) but they cook fine on their side! It has a quick defrost feature (and other defrost settings for casserole, poultry, etc) but it only goes up to 4 minutes at a time for random things that need defrosting. My old microwave I could set it forever and it would beep when I had to turn/stir halfway through. Not a big deal.

This oven is by far the best possible option to either replace a vent hood, OR an over the range "bulky" standard microwave. Sleek and easy to use - this one has an exceptional ventilation system. Great in an older home where there is no vent in the kitchen - This will give you a option.

My fridge is right next to the range on the left side, this microwave fits perfect and allows the door to be open all the way (90 degrees), the fan does not turn automatically and is loud even on low, no wifi capability. I wish it would have wifi like the Samsung at the same price (which I tried but the door didn’t open because there is no clearance since the fridge is right next to the stove, so I had to return it). Got it for $399.

Love that I have more space between stove and microwave. So much easier to use & see cooktop/oven controls. Microwave inside is perfect size. Would totally recommend. Also easy to retrofit.

This compact combination microwave and hood looks great in my kitchen, and frees up counter space formerly taken up by a micro wave oven.

Was delighted to find that Low Profile Microwaves were available with the same capabilities as the larger ones. This Whirlpool Model performs extremely well, has all the features I need, is a great match to my existing Whirlpool Appliances and looks great.

Very nice low profile microwave. Easy to mount with template all in one. Seems to warm food fast. The bottom lights could be brighter. Microwave had some dings on the side straight out of the box, but was mostly hidden when installed.

Love the fact that this microwave is low-profile and fits over my range neatly. The compact design looks sharp above my new drop-in range. I DON'T like the fact that I am still awaiting the full, proper install of the product (purchased 5/27, 7 weeks ago) in order for it to also function as a replacement for my vent-a-hood (which was the primary purpose for its selection in the first place). It was installed improperly (by Best Buy's hires), and therefore cycles air back into the kitchen instead of through the ceiling and roof (see photo). I have been waiting for installment of the missing part (baffle, I believe) and BB has not been following up with me on the progress as needed. I am just about ready for them to come and take this item back.

All the brackets were there for an easy install the microwave itself is better than the one we had and the low profile makes it easier for the use of the stove top great product.

I originally had a hood over the stove and it finally went out. A regular size microwave was too big where the vent was. This new profile low range microwave with this sleek design fit perfectly.
