We looked into many options but found this and its the best of both worlds. Cant microwave anything tall in it but small price to pay for having mores space above the stove. She is very happy with it and excited for it to be installed.

The height of a traditional unit is too tall to fit over my stovetop and under the overhead cabinet without taking up a lot of clearance. This unit fits perfectly! It is deeper than a traditional over the range microwave because it recirculates from the top rather than the bottom, but I'm fine with that to get it off the countertop.
