I recently had the Whirlpool 1.1 Cu. Ft. Low Profile Over-the-Range Microwave Hood Combination - Stainless Steel installed in my kitchen and I'm so pleased with the results! The installation process was incredibly simple and the microwave looks great with its modern stainless steel design. The microwave is easy to use, and has a number of helpful features like sensor cooking and a speed cook option. I love that it also has an exhaust fan to help keep my kitchen air clean and fresh. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend this model to anyone looking for an efficient and stylish microwave.

Love our new low profile microwave! We've always had a counter model and having one over our stove has opened up more counter space in our small kitchen. This model's clean and minimal facade is just what we were looking for. I would say that the light that illuminates the stove top could be brighter. Overall, it has been an excellent purchase.

I am so happy with my new whirlpool low profile over the range microwave. It saves me so much counter space and works wonderful and is still pretty big to hold large plates. It looks sleek. Set up was not too complicated. I should have had this ages ago. It is a great product, don't hesitate!

Love this microwave. I have a small kitchen and really don’t use a microwave too much. When I saw this low profile microwave it was perfect. Modern, matches my other appliances and takes up half the space of my old microwave. It looks great and made my small kitchen look so much bigger since it takes up less space.

Have had this less than 1 month and not overly impressed. The plusses: looks great, easy to now use my range, holds decent sized containers, 2 speed fan beats what my older GE could do, and the LED lighting is likely better than other brands. The negatories: NO end of cycle signal (or it's so soft it's not heard), no backlit control panel and the thing is located inside the microwave btw, and the button for opening the unit leaves a lot to be desired. It's suggested to use your elbow to activate the opening when you have your hands full. Doesn't work. I find I'm also having to really mash the control panel numbers to get the time and power level to work. Won't be returning -- more like I'll have to adapt to the lacking features.

I recently installed this microwave in my kitchen and it has been great and functions really well. My kitchen did not have an over-the-oven microwave or oven previously and we were limited with the amount of space above the stove. this solved that problem as it's only about 10" tall. We don't use microwaves for general cooking but we do use one a lot for reheating or things like popcorn. There is a tin template that comes with the unit that one can use as a guide on where to put screws and holes and it functions as the bracket that the microwave mounts to as well - very smart on Whirlpools part and makes doing it yourself very easy. The fan does well in removing smoke and smells and is not any louder than others that I've had in the past. the microwave can recirculate the air or vent into the room or outside the house. My only dig on the product is the price but since it probably doesn't sell as many units.

It looks great and works great. It is a rear exhaust which is what we were looking for. The slim design gives more space above the stovetop. Great product.

We bought this model because we didn't have room under our cabinets for a full sized microwave over the stove/range. It fit perfectly and was not difficult to install. It works like a charm and looks great over a Whirlpool stainless steel range,

We had a component go out on our standalone microwave which led me to look for a new microwave. I wanted an over the hood microwave to save counter space. I was originally skeptical of the height of this microwave but quickly remembered that most of what I heated up wasn’t in tall containers. I have been pleasantly surprised by this microwave. The features are very easy to use. The one down side to this microwave is the turntable component inside the microwave. For some reason it’s a circular plate (very common) sitting on top of a triangular wheeled base (Not common because in my experience those have always been circular). As suspected the turntable plate easily moves off track if accidentally touched. It’s an easy workaround with careful placing of food container but coming from microwaves where you had to jostle the turntable pretty hard for the plate to move, this could be annoying. Overall this is a very good microwave and I would suggest it.

The low profile means A LOT more space between the cooktop and bottom of the microwave. The microwave itself works great. The inside has plenty of space to cook in. The fan has 3 speeds and very quiet. The light shining on the cooktop could be a little brighter.

Purchased this microwave because we did not have enough room for a full size microwave under our cabinets above the stove top. We previously had just a hood vent over the stove top and then a countertop microwave. I wanted to free up some countertop space and get rid of our ugly hood vent. This was the perfect solution. This is the best microwave I have owned and is the perfect size! I think its low profile size makes it really nice to look at and it microwaves everything that we need perfectly. I have not had a problem with trying to microwave something that would not fit in here. The microwave was a little expensive but Whirlpool is the only brand I could find with an over-the-range microwave hood combo in this compact size and in stainless steel. I would definitely buy this again and have no regrets.

The unit is extremely good looking with a sleek and modern appearance. I love the way the front door opens automatically when you press the front button. The only Con I can find is that you need to program the cooking time while the door is open. Then close it and press, "Start". Other than that, I would highly recommend this microwave unit.

I like it. I have a small kitchen and the others would have looked to bulky, this fits great, very sleek with the low profile. I was worried about the cubic space but it is is better than I thought.

Love our new microwave!! Light and fan really add to my cooking area. Sleek look makes our kitchen look bigger. Very happy with its performance and easy to use. Sensor cooking works great for leftovers.

We have limited counter space so we wanted to save space wherever we could. The over the range microwave does as advertised. The fan is strong and the microwave works as well as our old one did. The only suggestion I have is a brighter hood light.

Had been using LG microwaves for quite a few years. Renovated a tiny house and needed a slim low profile microwave that was very intuitive and easy to use. This unit fits the bill! The touch sensors are very accurate, the sounds of the unit when it notifies you, are very pleasing to the ear. But most importantly, the unit functions beautifully, and seems to heat the perfect cup of coffee in less time than my other microwave. I love the automatic door open feature, which helps when you’re preparing things and may not have a free hand. Highly recommend it.

The slim form factor gives me much more room over the cooktop which makes a huge difference. I have yet to miss the room of a full-sized microwave. It may actually perform better than my previous full-sized microwave.

Low profile met our need. Plenty of room. Quiet. Excellent filters, overhead lights, moisture sensor. Timer buzzer is high pitch and faint, even on Hi setting (I cannot hear it!) Using separate magnetic kitchen timer that meets the need.

I love this microwave! It's sleek, modern, easy to use and solves a huge problem when you have a relatively shallow space over your stove to fit a microwave. It's definitely worth the investment!
