this microwave is a great idea. i bought it for the low profile. it works well and is very powerful. i would buy it again. my two detractions are: !) the controls are behind the door which is not convenient 2) the price is really high

Perfect size for slim and it works amazingly and if i ever needed to buy another it would be this one for sure

This is an amazing product. I just upgraded and remodeled my kitchen and wanted to rid my countertop space of my microwave. Enter this fabulous low profile product! Amazing look, super sleek and ultra modern microwave. I can’t say enough about this new beauty! Awesome looking, and it works very well. No complaints here. Loving this high-end product. Highly recommended!

Excellent works well quietly Heats up great easy installation

So glad I found this microwave! The cabinets over my stove were too low for a standard over-the-range microwave. So for years I’ve had a huge countertop microwave taking up lots of room in my small kitchen. This Whirlpool was the perfect solution. I wish they had made it years ago. I don’t know why other manufacturers are not making them. It works great. It has full-size power. And now I have my much-needed counter space!

Fits perfectly above range. Measurements are true to size. Replaced an exhaust hood and countertop microwave with this beauty and it has transformed the kitchen. The installers were in and out in 75 minutes, rewired the electric and installed an outlet and mounted the microwave, made sure it worked and gave me a brief tutorial. I am a happy customer!

This OTR microwave hit the mark in a market that needed an appliance to fill the void of an OTR that fits a need where standard size units are just too big to fit the available space. Smart design by hiding the key pad inside the door. The unit is a very effective range hood that lights the range top and exhausts cooking odors effectively. The unit is deep so plenty of room for large diameter plates. The 10 inch height fits 99 percent of your microwave needs. But you will not be defrosting a turkey in this unit. But who actually does that?

I've been using the microwave for approximately a month. I am pleased with the performance, it is very quiet and user friendly.

Even though it took me some time to get use to how it fit over by my range, I love this microwave!!! It’s extremely easy to use and clean. While I like bells and whistles on some products, I realized on a microwave I rarely used them. The few buttons I use, are the only ones conveniently located on the outside. It also has a very modern feel and look to it. I definitely recommend if you want a simple but effective microwave.

Would give 5 stars, but the fan is really loud, even on low, and super loud on high. It is set to circulate and blows out the top front. I wish it was quieter. Besides that, I was so excited to find a low profile that fit in my condo above the stove. Everyone said I’d never be able to get one to fit without ripping out the cabinets. It’s sleek and easy to use and powerful. Push a button and the door pops open really nicely. One other small downfall which took some getting used to is that the depth (front to back) seemed a bit big. It sticks out a bit far past my cabinets, seemingly further than a regular sized microwave would (I replaced and old fashioned hood so I’m not sure... but I’m thinking it does). So check the depth and not just the height if you plan to purchase. I have gotten used to it. And I’m happy it fits above my stove!!

First the bad part. This was ordered in early November with an expected delivery date of 1/3/23 which was ok. We wanted the low profile microwave to replace a microwave that had died. First it was changed to 1/12/23, then to 2/26/23, then 2/27/23, then 3/7/23, then 3/8/23. Finally we found one in stock and picked it up on 3/10/23. Each time we were "guaranteed" it would be there on the promised date. We like the low profile, it gives better visibility to the cooktop below. I like the light and fan so it acts like a range hood as well. It lights up when you open the door and when food is cooking. On the negative side, it is loud for a microwave. Also, the buttons are mostly hidden behind the door which makes it look sleek, but hinders the usability. This means you must punch in the time with the door open, close the door then press start. I'm used to put something in the microwave, close the door then push all the required buttons. Also, this creates a very long door which can get in the way when open. The sensor reheat function is useless. There are many options to setup, but in all cases I've tried it takes way too long. We have a small Panasonic microwave that has sensor reheat. You press one button, then start. It doesn't care what is in the microwave, it figures it out and works much better. We used that function all the time when we had the counter space for it. We don't use it at all on the Whirlpool In the end we would probably buy it again simply due to the low profile. If there were other options in the desired color, we would strongly consider them.

Whirlpool - 1.1 Cu. Ft. Low Profile Over-the-Range Microwave looks nice. We have a low cabinet over the range and this low profile unit make it much easier to cook. Works well and I like the Sense cooking for vegetables frozen or fresh. Seems to be well made and is plenty big as long as what your cooking isn't very tall. Has space for a cup of coffee or large dinner dish. Previous plastic microwaves have cracked the door and handle. I think this stainless steel door will hold up.

Quiet, sleek and highly effective. The microwave is roomy on the inside.

I have standard kitchen cabinets and a high output gas range so I was concerned that a standard size microwave was going to be too close for comfort above the flames. Plus, I cook a lot and use taller cooking pots and wanted the extra clearance between the top of my range and the bottom of my microwave. I was considering raising the cabinets but did not want to do that if not necessary. I ran across this low profile microwave and have to say I am glad I did. It fits perfectly above my range and the bottom of the microwave is now 22" above the flames (versus the 15" +/- clearance before.) I have all the space I was looking for and more, I am 6' 1" in height and can easily see all the burners on the range without having to bend down to look under the microwave. Plus, have you ever noticed all of the wasted space in a standard microwave? Whirlpool has figured out how to eliminate the wasted space by fitting all of the necessary components in a microwave that is not as tall (measured from bottom to top) as a standard unit. Everything I have ever fit in a standard OTR microwave fits in this one perfectly. Dinner plates, tall and short glassware, etc fit with no problem. I highly recommend this low profile microwave and would buy it again without question.

Great microwave + latest tech + quiet + lots of sound, menu options + fast & powerful + very chic + quite compact - expensive

The microwave is even more gorgeous than I had imagined. I got the black stainless to match my other appliances and it's a perfect match. I love the quiet controls, the little reminder messages, the lights and the exhaust fan. Although expensive, it is one of the best investments that I've ever made. It cooks evenly and quietly, it's easy to clean and it also freed up a lot of counter space.

Awesome....love it....very stylish...very simple to use....the venting is awesome....very powerful.....was easy to install.

Awesome gives me room to put large pots on my back burners on my stove. This was something I could never do with my old over the stove microwave.
