Sleek design that allows more room to cook on my stove beneath it.

We’ve had the Whirlpool Microwave for about 3 weeks now. This was a replacement for a “standard” size over the range microwave. Installation was straight forward, of course new holes were needed because the cord and support screws were in different places than the Samsung it replaced. Another thing to consider when replacing a standard size is that a portion of the wall will be revealed that has been hidden and may need repair. Mine had large holes and we had installed a ceramic wall splash that dipped down and around the old microwave, made a decorative panel to mimic the cabinets to cover this. The microwave has worked flawlessly. This may be a bit smaller but it has all the power of the standard size. Programing before you close the door takes some getting used to. Auto door opener is a nice option. Haven’t found anything that we normally microwave that does not fit in this one. The improved access to the stove top is VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is the chime this emits. Its a cute little multi tone but very high frequency. I’m a vintage person and can’t hardly hear it across the room, any background noise, like having the TV on, forget it. I can tell when the microwave stops, but the alarm is worthless.

Needed a microwave to butt up against wall & this allows you to do this. Would say that it does leave a lot of fingerprints. But overall good product

More safe microwave to get because it’s not too close to the stove. I brought it because it’s more compact and a great modern look.

It looks great and works great. It is a rear exhaust which is what we were looking for. The slim design gives more space above the stovetop. Great product.

Love our new low profile microwave! We've always had a counter model and having one over our stove has opened up more counter space in our small kitchen. This model's clean and minimal facade is just what we were looking for. I would say that the light that illuminates the stove top could be brighter. Overall, it has been an excellent purchase.

Love this microwave. I have a small kitchen and really don’t use a microwave too much. When I saw this low profile microwave it was perfect. Modern, matches my other appliances and takes up half the space of my old microwave. It looks great and made my small kitchen look so much bigger since it takes up less space.

Love the sleek look of this microwave. We’ve wanted an over the range microwave without having to renovate our cabinetry and this product was a great alternative.

I bought this one because it had the lowest profile of all the others. I've had no issue with it.

Exactly what we needed to replace the same exact unit that suddenly failed after 5 years without warning. Wanted white but had to settle for stainless because white was backordered.

This is an excellent functioning microwave. It fit well with our cabinets, and having a bulk head that was exceptionally large. Surprisingly spacious inside despite being very slim fit. The only downside is that it does not come with a very good template for mounting. The template is actually the bracket that the microwave mounts with, and the holes did not line up well when initial drilled, and require some modification to properly mount. Overall, a very good performing microwave though.

We are very pleased with our new microwave. Old one died on us after 13 years. WE needed one with a stronger venting system since we cook a lot. Our old one was 1/2 the power and our entire house would get over come with the smoke from high heat cooking. This is certainly doing a great job keeping the smoke down. We love the low profile size. Also, we have a close friend who is a professional chef, and he got the exact same one for his house.... and highly recommended it !!

I recently had the Whirlpool 1.1 Cu. Ft. Low Profile Over-the-Range Microwave Hood Combination - Stainless Steel installed in my kitchen and I'm so pleased with the results! The installation process was incredibly simple and the microwave looks great with its modern stainless steel design. The microwave is easy to use, and has a number of helpful features like sensor cooking and a speed cook option. I love that it also has an exhaust fan to help keep my kitchen air clean and fresh. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend this model to anyone looking for an efficient and stylish microwave.

Excellent microwave hopefully it lasts longer than the last one I bought

I like the above stove microwave because it frees up counter space and looks very nice. We had to buy the slim model to keep space above the stove. But that also made the only downside can't put anything very tall in it but it works to expectations and we are happy with it.

So far the product seems to be fine, have not had it very long. But the installer had to install a receptacle and he put it at the bottom of the cabinet instead of at the top so I loss use of half of my cabinet!!
