I am still getting used to the extra features. The thirty second increment button is great reheating.

I'm not passionate about microwave vent hoods; they only need to heat food, light my cooktop, and provide a way to abate smoke while cooking. This unit does all three just fine. The microwaveable space is quite large (frankly, more than enough for the average consumer) and the touchpad is delightfully simple to operate. And compared to my old tabletop microwave, this one heats food faster and very evenly. It shaves about 30s to 2 minutes off my reheat times! Awesome. The fan is powerful enough to pull smoke from the cooktop's front pans (not just the ones directly under the vent), and the light effectively illuminates the cooktop. The price is right too, with a good look and sturdy feel, making it pointless to spend more money on more expensive variants. My only complaint is about the basic design: the recirculating vent's exhaust port direction is UP from the TOP of the unit, not from the FRONT as in previous units. This necessitates pulling the unit about 2" forward from the cabinets to ensure the exhaust vent isn't blocked. If you like a "flush" look for your microwave unit, look elsewhere. Otherwise, great product.

This microwave functions beautifully and has all of the features I desire. It is also very good looking.

It had a dent looks like mishandling. :( packaging should be more secure.

Microwave came delivered to me dented twice . I called customer service and still no reply

Didn't get to use it was told some of the products have radiation.

After 4 microwaves with dents, I bought a diff one.

Purchased Aug 2020. It no longer heats. No one seems to repair - they recommend replacing! My previous Whirlpool lasted about 6 years, so 2 is disappointing! Will not purchase again.

Very terrible product from Whirlpool. It doesn't work from first day. I called whirlpool to replace it but they want to just fix it. Bestbuy is also terrible for replacement comparing it to Amazon.

Bought this to replace Frigidaire FFMV1745TW that crapped out after 5-1/2 years of normal use (old micro was causing circuit breaker to trip...must've been a short circuit or something). Got it at Best Buy for 179.99 plus tax. In stock and picked up at the store. Would not fit in trunk of car, so had to put it in the back seat. Installation was not the worst. HOWEVER, the template on the box and dimensions in instructions is incorrect. The 10" dimension from back of wall was not right. It was more like 9-1/2". So, measure the top of microwave mounting holes before you mark and drill holes at underside of cabinet for mounting to save yourself the trouble I dealt with. So far, microwave works fine. Instructions allow you to shut off the beeping (which I did), which is good. I hope this unit lasts longer than my previous one. From start to finish (removal of old microwave, purchasing new one with 15 min. each way travel time, getting tools ready & installation, correction of incorrect template dimension and cleanup/putting tools back) took 4 hours. I give 4 stars instead of 5 because of the incorrect dimension and also because I don't have faith that this unit will last. Hope this helps you with your decision making as a consumer and hopefully Whirlpool will look into the template/instructions dimension issue.

Great product to replace our old microwave. The installation was well worth the price. These guys were pros, removed and hauled away the old one, installed this new one all under 10 minutes! That even included a walk through of the functions. Very happy customer!

Like this microwave appearance and design. It’s easy to work and easy to clean. The handle to open the door is sturdy - much better than a push button style. I recently viewed some model homes and they all had this same whirlpool microwave. I had someone install it so can’t speak on that.

this was a replacement for my other whirlpool otr microwave. this 1,7 cu.ft. microwave is basically the same with a few minor differences. It has only 2 speed vent fan vs a 3 speed but the high speed seems a bit stronger than my old one. I am very pleased with this one. The size is perfect and it does what I want. Have been using it for only a few weeks but so far am very pleased.

Nice design, easy to clean, quiet unit. No quick start for minutes but there is a handy 30 second button.
