I bought this about 7 years ago...right away the light bulb underneath blew. Then after a couple years the outside of the door started to crack. Now there is a big chuck about to fall out underneath the door. Maybe because it is plastic. Over the oven microwaves are not so great, but if your going to do it, go for the stainless steel.

It's a good microwave but a bit noisy when closing the door.

Beautiful, sturdy and easy ro run. Its a little bigger than the old flimsy one. Its so pretty I sat and stared at it for quite a few minutes. The contractors were very professional and quick.

Whirlpool Over-Range Microwave. Replaced an almost identical unit

This microwave is very loud. Underneath lighting is at the back of the microwave, limiting the light. MOST ANNOYING tone when the microwave is through. No reminder bell/tone if you don’t immediately remove your food. Still not convinced of its heating capability. Microwave broke within first 2 months of having it. Whirlpool did have it repaired.

Love the new microwave I just got installed last weekend. It is quiet & styling closely matches my other (Kenmore) appliances.

I'm absolutely fed up with Whirlpool as a company, they do not stand behind their products. I purchased this microwave in 2022 and it barely lasted 2 years before the mag tube went bad. The unit is completely dead now and Whirlpool's response is to do nothing for me in return. A 1 year warranty is a joke and this product also had no limited warranty. I spent roughly $350 on this product to not get 2 years worth of service. The customer service was also rude and condescending when discussing the issue. I wouldn't recommend this product or any other Whirlpool product at this point.

Bought in March, finally got hooked up in May. The fan NEVER worked in it. Had a repair guy come up tonight sent BY whirlpool and he has to replace entire motor. You'd think it would have been checked out before it left the assembly line? Very disappointed. Have to take Microwave off to have this fixed so more hassle and headache. My 15 year old microwave works better than this. Hopefully this will solve the issue and I can move on. To say I am disappointed is a very big understatement.

I am on my second one of these microwaves, after a couple years of use the plastic on the door cracks and the whole door falls apart. The cost of a replacement door is more than a new microwave. I’ve had to duct tape the door just so I could still use the microwave.

Started out ok for months but did not make it to 1 year of use. It does not light up inside, run at all and even the panel is dead. Tried replacing the fuse and no luck. So you need to take it down from the cabinet and send it in for repair at a Whirlpool authorized agent for warranty to cover the issues. May as well start over!

Not as study s our last microwave from Samsung. Light is not that bright as last one either.

I didn't realize how bad my last microwave was heating until using this gem. This microwave is quiet and does really good heating food.

Works as expected. Only suggestion would be a lower volume control. Out of the box its very loud.

Today, we had our Whirlpool microwave fixed for the second time since purchasing it less than a year ago. The magnetron has failed twice in 12 months! At the time of purchase, the microwave cost about $250. Although I understand that this is not a high-end unit, the reviews were positive, and we felt that we could trust the Whirlpool brand. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect an appliance to last more than seven months without breaking and especially anticipated it lasting more than 12 months before going down a second time. I'm glad the one-year manufacture's warranty covered these two repairs (which would have cost us $320 each time - parts and labor). Now that the warranty is over, are we in for another costly repair in 6-12 months? Save yourself the hassle and pass on this microwave!

Would have appreciated a quick and dirty user guide for this appliance. Also missed the 30 second button option found on other units.

Sales person excellent, delivery very disappointing, product excellent.

So far so good but the lighting is very basic and not as good as our last unit. And would it be so hard to light the keypad?

Lasted a little over 12 months. Noisy Noisy Noisy, Broken. Door won't trip the door switch so the LCD constantly says close door. We had our Microwave growing up for over 25 years! Like all Whirlpool Products, STAY AWAY! We bought a Whirlpool Microwave, Dishwasher and Stove for our Kitchen at the Same time. The Stove is fine but the dishwasher and this Microwave lasted just a little over 12 months before they broke. I will never buy another Whirlpool product. Whirlpool will chime in here trying to look good saying to contact them but we all know it's a different story once you call! LOL

I bought this microwave in 2018, in the 6 years I owned it, it broke down twice. Now it takes forever to heat up. I am tired of fixing it and I am currently shopping for a new one in 2024.
