Works great and was affordable (for the microwave). However, Best Buy wanted to charge me $200 to install a $215 microwave. I think the installation charge is ridiculously outrageous.

Self-installation of an OTR microwave can take longer and require more planning/work if it's not your first time. Whirlpool does proide a very helpful paper template that helps you with getting the correct measurements for your mount. It took me dad and I about an hour to get it right (and luckily on the first try). Docking off a star for not having the quick start option (i.e. pushing 1 automatically starts with 1 min cook timer) like most modern microwaves have now. Lighting and fan work great. I also really like how the template makes sure you create a cut-out large enough to not only feed the exhaust fan but also provide easy access to the motor/filter should that ever need replaced -- this way you don't have to unmount the entire unit just to get to it.

The unit has shown no issues since purchased (~8months ago) It was OK to install. Quieter than the old GE microwave. Door is easy to shut and open.

Great over the range microwave. Easy to install. It actually isn’t really “smudge proof” so the extra $20 for that finish isn’t worth it, but it otherwise lives up to the Whirlpool name.

First of all, cudos to the delivery team! They were very cordial and professional yet personable and competent. At my request, they invited me to watch their installation process! The Microwave also has worked perfectly!

I purchased a new home this year and discovered after moving in there was no microwave. I found this microwave that was perfect to fit over my Whirlpool range.

Had to replace an older model. This was perfect based on value and suitability for my needs. Bougjt on sale found same model at other places for higher. Works fine. Not too fancy. Negatives are the button beeps were louder than previous. Cant be quiet late nights. Also I wished more text information displaved vs having to read print inside door to confirm your making right selections.
