    Purchased Aug 2020. It no longer heats. No one seems to repair - they recommend replacing! My previous Whirlpool lasted about 6 years, so 2 is disappointing! Will not purchase again.

    Very terrible product from Whirlpool. It doesn't work from first day. I called whirlpool to replace it but they want to just fix it. Bestbuy is also terrible for replacement comparing it to Amazon.

    Bad lighting, otherwise good

    Lighting for range is minimal and set back too far. Clock is also very difficult to read because of dim numbers. Good microwave, but there are a lot of options out there. I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

    Blower motor fan NEVER worked

    Bought in March, finally got hooked up in May. The fan NEVER worked in it. Had a repair guy come up tonight sent BY whirlpool and he has to replace entire motor. You'd think it would have been checked out before it left the assembly line? Very disappointed. Have to take Microwave off to have this fixed so more hassle and headache. My 15 year old microwave works better than this. Hopefully this will solve the issue and I can move on. To say I am disappointed is a very big understatement.

    Door cracks

    I am on my second one of these microwaves, after a couple years of use the plastic on the door cracks and the whole door falls apart. The cost of a replacement door is more than a new microwave. I’ve had to duct tape the door just so I could still use the microwave.

    Magnetron failed twice in the first year!

    Today, we had our Whirlpool microwave fixed for the second time since purchasing it less than a year ago. The magnetron has failed twice in 12 months! At the time of purchase, the microwave cost about $250. Although I understand that this is not a high-end unit, the reviews were positive, and we felt that we could trust the Whirlpool brand. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect an appliance to last more than seven months without breaking and especially anticipated it lasting more than 12 months before going down a second time. I'm glad the one-year manufacture's warranty covered these two repairs (which would have cost us $320 each time - parts and labor). Now that the warranty is over, are we in for another costly repair in 6-12 months? Save yourself the hassle and pass on this microwave!

    So far so good but the lighting is very basic and not as good as our last unit. And would it be so hard to light the keypad?

    We spent a lot of money on a whole kitchen set of new whirlpool appliances. At exactly two years the microwave has broken under light use. Reseach says its the magnatron which is a $160 part plus shipping. We could not even get 2 years from our microwave. That combined with the attitude of customer service has me taking a personal vow to never buy a ge/whilpool product again. So extremely dissapointed. Do NOT buy whilrlpoool..
