    Absolutely stay away from this refrigerator!! After five years the ice maker quit working. After some research I found out that due to a design error the electrical harness that runs into the freezer door at the base of the unit is too short. So every time you open the door it stresses the wires until they finally break. A repair person for a national repair company said that the problem was pretty common with this refrigerator. The repair solution is to install a new door which would cost about a thousand dollars. I contacted Whirlpool and they refused to acknowledge that there is a design problem and offered a small discount on a replacement purchase. After this experience, why would I buy another one from them?

    Never knew I could hate a refrigerator

    The refrigerator is on its sixth service repair. The freezer door melted. Service tech first time he ever seen anything like that. Took 5 visits to replace the freezer door. It runs almost 24/7 can not be environmentally friendly. Now the Refrigerator side is as warm as the house. I have the six service call scheduled. I would never buy this model again. At this point I wish I could trade it in and get something the works. We bought a 4 peace Whirlpool set. The oven is not even that good. Never again.

    Regret this purchase

    Shelves break very easy. Items on the top shelf tend to freeze. Standard pizza box will not fit in the freezer. Ice maker stopped working and the tech said the whole door needs to be replaced to get it working. He walked right in and showed a design flaw that breaks the wires to the ice maker just from openeing and closing the freezer door. Fusing the wires will only be temporary as they will break again. The only solution is to replace the whole door. That repair will cost 135$ more than the fridge when i bought it. No kidding. I have to buy a whole new fridge after owning this for 4 years. Disgusted.

    I had 3 of this item delivered. The first had a broken compressor, 2nd broken seals, 3rd was dented and loud. Returned and bought a different brand.

    This fridge is garbage. Wiring flaw so when door opens, wires tear in half. Water and ice immediately stopped working. Food freezes in fridge even when set on warmest temp, so all vegis immediately freeze and spoil. If you open fridge and freezer doors at the same time, the seals tear open and stop working. So upset about buying this piece of crap.

    Terrible Quality for the Price.

    For over $2k (after tax, delivery, etc), I would expect a better refrigerator. The technology features “look” impressive from the outside but don’t actually do much. The ice dispenser is slow, loud and clumsy (ice spits out all over my floor)…the water dispenser feature doesn’t work all the time, the temperature control isn’t well-regulated, and after only a month, my refrigerator door isn’t closing properly. This refrigerator was such a pain to have installed in the first place that I’m afraid to even call Best Buy or the manufacturer to have it replaced, but I should. *Oh, and I agree with others that they rip you off on how many freezer shelves they supply… not enough.

    I had high hopes for the frig but it has been a very disappointing purchase. The top shelf of the frig is only 3/4 useable since you need to keep everything away from the vents or else your food will freeze. The ice maker continually jams with ice making it impossible to close the ice bin. The bottom shelf of the freezer is almost entirely taken up by the light, rendering that shelf only 1/4 useable.

    Don't waste your money

    This thing is not a high-quality appliance. While it looks nice mechanically it is a mess. Looks like shelves are missing and look at all the comments about the Fresh Flow issues. I have to laugh at the people calling this the Model T fridge. Even the repairman said the repair to fix the Fresh Flow will only last 6 months. This is a pass for anyone who wants to co-exist with their appliances in the same space. The next stop for our fridge is the garage!

    WORST FRIDGE EVER!

    This is the worse fridge ever. EVERYTHING freezes in the fridge. Everything in the freezer has freezer burn. It is tiny, nothing can touch the back or side walls - although even with nothing touching, my food is frozen. I missed the warranty deadline and am stuck with this hunk of junk. This is my 3rd Whirlpool and probably my last. DO NOT BUY THIS ONE!

    Stay away from this refrigerator. Serious design flaw in freezer door that causes wires to break. Only fix is a new door at $1100.00. This has been a design flaw for at least six years, and Whirlpool does nothing. Do a Google search and see how many people have this problem

    Bad experience

    Had the same unit delivered two separate times and both leaked at water line connection in door. I wound up paying to have it fixed because Geek Squad came out on several occasions and never fixed the issue.
